Judging by his "menchies" there was talk with his friends of doing a "Best of Dub Outtakes" article in order to counter the narrative of the #FuniLeaks and try to act like saying faggot and other slurs are just everyday things in the dub industry. So expect a damage control article about that in a few days. He'll probably throw in some general hot takes on the lawsuit as well.

Whoa, Weinstein didn't have too many accusations against him?

Weinstein being a pervert/predator was an open secret for a while.

His downfall was due to a couple of factors:

1. His studio hadn't had a hit film that made money in AGES and he didn't seem to care, which angered his brother and the board of directors at his studio who wanted him out because he didn't give a fuck about the downturn his studio was in.

2. Weinstein was a bag man for the Clintons and Obama. To circumvent campaign donation laws saying you can only donate X-Amount of money per campaign season, Hollywood big shots would give money to Weinstein to give to Clinton, Obama, etc for their campaigns with the money never being recorded on record (as all campaign donations are to be), making the donations illegal and Weinstein a criminal. Weinstein was also the go-to guy to spread whatever agitation-propaganda/DNC talking points to the masses, via Obama and the Clintons telling Weinstein what they wanted Hollywood to be pushing (gay rights, trans rights, anti-white/anti-white male bigotry, race mixing, feminist hatemongering, global warming, etc) in their works and in interviews. Weinstein in turn would contact all of the big names in Hollywood and tell them to push said DNC agenda talking points in their works and in interviews to force it onto the masses. With Trump elected, Weinstein held a major role in spreading anti-Trump hate mongering amongst celebrities to get them to shill the DNC line about Trump being Hitler 2.0 and his supporters needing to Holocausted off the face of the Earth.

3. A while back, Weinstein pulled some strings to help get Mia Farrow's kid Ronan (a spoiled SJW brat who had his mommy buy him a career in journalism in spite of no real talent or training) and got him a show on MSNBC to shill left wing talking points. The show flopped and was cancelled within a couple of months and Ronan got super mad, that the lunatic lefties at MSNBC fired him (and blamed him and other SJW hosts who had their daytime shows canceled along with Ronan's at the time) and that Weinstein refused to lift a finger to save his hide.

Ronan wanted revenge and wanted revenge not only on the left wing media but also Weinstein. He started doing actual fucking journalism, gathering EVERYTING he could on Weinstein being made into a pervert and planned to go public with it as revenge. Which ties into Steve Bannon, who left the White House to go after people in the media and entertainment industry that were shitting on Trump 24-7 and their ties to the DNC. And he knew about Ronan's work getting all of the dirt on Weinstein and searching for an outlet to publish the story. As such, it left the mainstream media in the bind that they couldn't bury the story like they did the last couple of times someone brought the story of Weinstein as a predator to their attention. Because if they turned Ronan away, Bannon would swoop in and bring Ronan to Fox News to publish the story or worse, go public with the fact that the media had buried yet another Weinstein=sex pervert story and potentially expose Weinstein's other crimes (the illegal donations) as well.

So the media ran Ronan's story and sacrificed Weinstein. Weinstein's brother and studio cohorts had their excuse to get rid of him once and for all and both the Democrats and Weinstein had to fall on their swords so that the illegal campaign donation story got buried.

The only reason I have any passing interest in Dragon Ball as an adult is because of DBZA bringing the show back to my attention. And the only thing keeping me from buying the full set of shows on DVD is that I know Toei keeps jerking TFS around. It's not even that I like TFS that much, I just dislike what Toei is doing/has done that much more.

I think it's important to stress that the content of the leaks in question aren't that big a deal. If anything, I could imagine most of us getting in on the fun if present in the room. The problem is that when you demand everyone adhere to a particular standard, then you better damn sure abide by the rules that YOU set up. I've seen people spin this as Nick being overly offended and PC, not at all realizing that he wasn't the one who set the standard. Hell, in the very same video these leaks were produced, he admits to finding them genuinely funny.

Also, people who think that these leaks are an offense in and of themselves, they're really not. Voice actors to this shit all the time, mainly because it's funny to imagine the characters saying horrendous shit.

The reason THEY'RE given a pass is because they typically don't lie on their coworkers and play innocent when people bring up what they themselves had done.

Hell, lets assume they did JUST call them. A ton of calls out to their VAs, all at the same time, right after this? That will show up on a basic request for phone records, and be MORE than enough ammo to drag every. single. one. into deposition. All it would take is a single one to crack under pressure and provide the content of that phone call. Add to this, Ty beard's TCPA response more than sufficiently confirmed funimation was, and I quote, a “Den of Poison,” “Kafka Nightmare,” and an “Orwellian Slave Factory”. What are the chances that you don't find several people to cough up the dirt, let alone one?
