Thanks to political bullshittery down here, Brazil is kinda-sorta divided about going for the sixth title.
On one hand, we want to be champions. On the other hand, most people now associate the yellow shirts and the national symbols with the Bolsonarista movement - some even celebrated when Neymar got a sprained ankle because of his support, and others are actually rooting for fucking Argentina, the same country that never does the same for us, and calls us monkeys to our face whenever they have a chance. It's quite stomach-twisting to hear our sport journos that once sucked Neymar off to the point of annoyance, now toss him under the bus and outright say "We can win it without him just fine".
This is by far the best chance we have to become champions, and this kind of shit will only hinder the sentiment. And considering the horrorshow that expects us from next year onwards, this may be the only source of long-term happiness we'll have for a long while. Kinda like Argentina, ironically.
