So that's why Kane declined any offer from Bayern. He's going to Real Madrid.
My man is finally going to get silverware, though I've seen some PL fans coping by saying Kane will stay in England to break Shearer's record.
He might go to MLS
This is just a wee bit better than Saudi Arabia or China.
and sending Juve to the conference league. :story:
This is actually humiliating tbh, they are probably the biggest club to play in that tournament so far.

Does Inter winning the UCL change anything in the final Serie A table (Atalanta to UCL, Juve to EL, etc)?

Wow, shocked Juve still got europe. I thought the point deduction was supposed to make sure they didn't get any european football next year
It's a disaster. I'm not sure about the rules but I believe we have to play qualification games. The fact they finished 7th (and could have finished 6th but for Dybala's late heroics) just goes so show how far Serie A has fallen.

This. Juve supporters are currently praying for a 1 year UEFA ban so we don't have to watch this humiliation.

Nope, Inter has finished 3rd about 1 month after Max Allegri told their sporting director they have a dead squad and will finish 6th. So many Allegri L's this season, it's hard to keep track of all of them.

2nd leg of the relegation matches and HSV lost 1:3 against Stuttgart. Stuttgart stays in 1. Bundesliga, HSV in 2. Bundesliga.

5 years in a row fucking up relegation on either the last match day(s) after being among the first 3 or fucking up the relegation matches. That's an achievement.

It's probably just an Amerimutt thing, but a lot of historically unlucky teams in the US have taken to trying to exorcise their "demons" via various hilarious stunts. We've seen things like digging up endzones in American football fields to look for dead bodies, parading goats around a baseball field, bringing descendants of wronged players out to apologize.... I don't know what Hamburg did, but maybe they need to bring in Krampus or something to shake that bad mojo. Is the clock still there that noted the start of Bundesliga play? Or around? Break it. Kill a dinosaur. IDK.

Krampus is a Southern German thing and the clock is gone. The clock showed how long HSV has been a part of 1. Bundesliga and when they got relegated to 2. Bundesliga they turned it off bc their streak ended. HSV was until their relegation the only team in Bundesliga that never got relegated.

But maybe they need to sacrifice a virgin to the sea 🤔

It was a bit of a reach, but FC Bordeaux needed to win by 5 goals on the last day Rodez to get promoted back to Ligue 1. I believe Rodez is now safe after everything, but the match was abandoned after a Bordeaux fan ran onto the pitch, shoved a group of Rodez players celebrating the goal, and the Rodez goalscorer believed to have gotten a concussion. Match was suspended and now teams are calling a conspiracy against Rodez who, at the time, needed the win to stay safe in Ligue 2. Fun little battle to watch as both of them are on 37 points right now

Argentina legend Lionel Messi will join American side Inter Miami after his exit from French champions Paris St-Germain.

The former Barcelona player is set to reject a more lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
The Miami deal includes collaboration from brands like Adidas and Apple.

Forward Messi, 35, won the award for the world's best player seven times and is expected to win it later this year after World Cup success.

This is the first time Barcelona icon Messi has played outside Europe.

He wanted to remain in Europe for another season but, after no satisfactory offers were received, he had the straight choice between Inter Miami or Al-Hilal.

He should have gone back to either Barcelona or Newell's Old Boys, its not like money is an issue to him.
I am guessing this deal is to enjoy life in Miami for a bit. He might decide he hates playing in the MLS like Henry did and leave for Newells but for now, its more of a vacation

Those crazy hammers have done it. They finally won a (third tier) European trophy

A title is a title, lol (as long as its official and not friendly).

I was rooting for Fiorentina but I'm happy for Paquetá, he's a good player.

The funny thing about the Conference League is that, besides money, the goal of it was to promote the smaller leagues (Malta, Cyprus, Greece, etc) and give their teams a chance to compete in Europe but 2 years in, the top 5 leagues and Netherlands are already dominating it.

The lower teams from the top divisions winning doesn't bother me. I want England team's to be winning these tournaments to fuck with the other league's who are ok with having top teams dominating their league's every year and having the lower teams on the verge of bankruptcy forced to sell their best players to these teams in order to stay afloat.

And yet they had 3 finalists in Europe and 5 of the 12 teams in the semis for Europe lol
True but you have to admit the Italian teams were very fortunate in the knockout stage draws of the CL. They didn't have to go up against Bayern, Madrid, City, etc. I didn't follow Europa as closely but if I'm not mistaken, no Italian team had to play Arsenal or even United. Then Juve (3rd best Italian team in terms of points) shit the bed against Sevilla (ranked 12th in La Liga).

If Harry Maguire winds up in Milan or Turin next year (apparently both Milan clubs and Juve are interested), you will have no choice but admit I'm right about Serie A being shit lol.

All that being said, I'm starting to get nervous Inter will upset City. Their goalkeeper is in top form and they've been solid defensively. They're playing with house money and that can be dangerous.

Milan faced Tottenham, which people claim its a Big 6 in England and Roma faced Leverkusen, which I think is a top 6 in Germany (?).
