I think its only fair that we kneel with them, considering they made the hitler salute with us about 85 years ago.

Not sure what the rules were back then but that first goal isn't a goal by modern standards lol

I guess Fat Frank's disallowed goal was the universe righting the ship after Germany got fucked over by England twice.

So Derby's takeover looks to have failed at the last minute so it's looking like that's the end of Derby. Kind of a shame but it's ridiculous they were being given leniency when a less lucrative team would have been told to just fucking die months ago.

They broke so many rules that they should have just been gutted so long ago. Sucks for Derby County but unrealistic fans + unrealistic owners = death of a club

Tomorrow in the morning, FIFA will judge and announce a verdict about the Byron Castillo case.

Long story short - Castillo, who's been an Ecuador NT regular for quite some time, is actually Colombian by birth and has been called for the NT despite full knowledge of his actual nationality. Depending on how things go, all points from the South American qualifying matches where he played may be deduced and distributed to the teams Ecuador faced off with him on the team, which means Ecuador would be out and Chile would enter their place, due to the calculations of the additional points.

Some order of punishment is to be set, that's for sure, but it would be absolutely hilarious if they got ousted from the World Cup this way.

@Yuuichirou Kumada what's up with Flamengo sacking Sousa? I thought he might have been garbage but dude has a win % of 60 lol are the standards that high or has he been floundering in cup games or is it league form? Maybe a combination of things?

The team has been incredibly inconsistent under Paulo Souza. They lost two in a row to two of the worst teams in this year's national championship and have been playing like mobile sacks of potatoes all year long. They also lost the state championship to Fluminense earlier this year and barely qualified for the Libertadores knockout stages. Simply put, the team just isn't cutting the mustard the way it used to do. Imagine going from being title contenders for four years in a row, to a middling 14th place and risking entering the relegation zone all of a sudden. The blame, naturally, befalls on the coach as it always happens. Since 2019, they tried their luck with five different coaches, with middling results. They think they can recreate the magic of the 2019 season under Jorge Jesus - A literally who in Europe that became a God on Earth somehow, thanks to his results.

Matter of fact, Flamengo is eternally stuck in 2019, when they won pretty much everything and was a total powerhouse the likes we hadn't seen in quite some time. The fanbase got terribly accustomed to such a stellar year, they want to repeat it every year. As it turns out, depending on the same old players from those years like Filipe Luiz, Ewerthon Ribeiro and Luiz Henrique, plus a few past-their-prime crappers that add nothing to the team, like David Luiz and Mauricio Isla, is no sound strategy. You can bring in Pep Guardiola, zombie Rinus Michels or whatever, you can't make a 40-year-old Diego Ribas play as spry and fast as he was in his prime. At most they still have Gabriel Barbosa, but again, this nigga here isn't getting any younger.

The only fun thing out of their ordeal is the fan reactions after Flamengo inevitably shit the bed, even if winning against small fries.

Aaaaaand... FIFA will not pursue any legal action against the Ecuador NT. They'll still play the World Cup.
I had heard rumors flying around that Ecuador would have their spot taken and given to the next highest FIFA ranking team... which would have been Italy. At that point, it was pretty obvious that nothing good was going to come of this. Cheat to win baby

The Ecuadorian guys who own the pizza place near me will be happy.

Lol turns out it might not be a coaching issue at United but a player issue. Can't wait to see Ten Haag run out of town because Phil Jones and Harry Maguire play defense at a League 1 level
I know these are just glorified friendlies but still, pretty impressive showing from Rangnick so far.

Benzema, Griezmann and Coman all starting for France. Mbappe subbed in at the 63rd minute. France is probably the most talented national team in the world atm, Rangnick deserves credit.

Edit: Mbappe equalizer in the 83rd minute, lol. Still impressive from Rangnick, as Austria pressed France effectively for most of the game.

It's definitely a player issue at United. Their most talented young player got cucked out of his preferred position by Ronaldo, then raped his white gf. Speaking of which...

Rangnick isn't a shitty coach. Is he top level? Idk. But he could certainly have made something out of United if they decided to actually give him control of United for a few years. Instead they are going to give control to Ten Haag, who will get run out because the players there will continue to stay on their ridiculous contracts and cause issues in the locker room. Also, what style are they going to play? A high pressing style with Fernandes and Ronaldo isn't going to work. A possession style when Fred and McTominay are your pivot players? A defensive style when your best defender is an injured Varane? United are at the point where they need to liquidate almost every position and just start over
