Barcelona will absolutely be around in a few years time, I just think we're getting closer and closer towards Barcelona being privately owned and the era of fan voted presidents being over.

As it stands, the current president needs De Jong to leave because he's a previous presidents signing, so if he does well then that doesn't look good on the current president. Barcelona will do these fucking retarded shuffle deals in order to get the same calibre footballer but with the current presidents name on it.

I just like how Barcelona's finances are slowly getting worse and worse and the quality of their team is declining. But I know if it gets TOO bad then Barcelona will have to issue the ultimatum to their fans that they need to be bought out or shut down, and some Arab billionaire is absolutely going to bail them out.
A privately owned club or being shut down is how this will end up. And they are just running towards that inevitability at full speed. Signing Lewandowski without getting rid of any player is just more proof of them going towards financial ruin.

Having been playing a lot of FM lately I would LOVE seeing Barca crumble to nothing.
how the fuck are they spending 300 million pounds every window wtf
They are spending like they won't be around in 4 years. It makes way more sense when you look at it like they will declare bankruptcy in 4 years

So basically we just need to figure out which Arab oil country doesn't own a top notch European football club yet to know who will be the new owner of Barcelona 🤔

I just love how Barcelona's biggest issue is the inability to offload players on huge contracts and yet they had absolutely no problem signing Auba and Lewandowski who, despite being good players have absolutely ZERO future transfer value and the moment they start to drop in form they'll be a dead weight on stupid money that can't be offloaded, just like Griezmann or Coutinho or whatever.

They could always be really dumb and decide to sell shares worldwide to raise funding. Let a bunch of African's vote for their presidents. Of course, they would be in even bigger debt because African's don't know how to run jack shit but it would be funny

Create one of the best academies in the world. Don't bring any players to the first team because we are buying players past their prime on massive contracts. Can't figure out why the club is failing

Crystal Palace have done decent business to bolster last years rebuild. We got Sam Johnstone on a free who should be good competition for the keeper spot. Also Malcolm Ebiowei from Derby County and Cheick Doucouré from Lens who should play a Viera-style midfield position giving Eze the chance to take Gallagher’s position now he’s gone. There’s some rumours about Levi Colwill incoming because we need defensive cover and some noise about Aaron Wan-Bissaka coming back since he’s fallen out of favour at United but I highly doubt it. It’s a pretty exciting season coming up after the rebuild and actually looking like a threat at times last season. If we can finish top half, stop losing at the 90th minute and take a few big scalps I’ll be happy.

Leeds fans are retarded. They’re like “oh sell Harrison and reinvest the money or start Dan James.” Want to blow my brains out arguing with these tards. Selling Harrison with 2 weeks left before the season starts would be beyond idiotic especially selling Raphinha and Kalvin.

Also Adams was horrendous today. Leeds fans were like “why doesn’t he pass the ball forward instead of sideways and backwards.” While I am laughing cause I have always hated the Adams signing.

Also Aaronson looks really really bad in preseason

Dybala to Roma confirmed, huge signing for them. I hope Mourinho can help him get back to top form, he's one of the most technically gifted players in the world. I could see him forming a good partnership with Abraham.

EDIT: Rumors of Ronaldo to Atleti :story: nigga is so desperate to get out of United he's willing to play for Simeone after all the bad blood. @DSP's Tax Lawyer this is one we didn't see coming.

If this man ends up at Atletico I will just be laugh. It would say so much about just everyone involved if he ends up there

Take it with a grain of salt since it's coming from the Daily Mirror, but it looks like Atleti is already shutting it down. Maybe he'll take a massive paycut to go to the rivals of his former team.

So if they are shutting down the rumor, that means there is something else out there we don't know about. Should be a fun couple of months seeing what happens with United.

Random thought but maybe Ronaldo isn't happy with United's transfer policy? So far the only notable signings were Eriksen on a free who is probably past his prime (and the same player as Fernandez) and Martinez (who will compete with Shaw and Malacia at the same position). Lingard is out of contract, Matic, Pogba, and Cavani all left for free as well. Pereira was sold to Fulham. So they are clearing out some of the deadwood but they aren't bringing anyone in to bolster their midfield and front lines. Maybe all this noise is to get them to spend more?

Isn't he a CB?
Had to search for it since I don't know anything about him and...

He is a left back that came from Defensa y Justicia in Argentina that pulled off some amazing shit in 2017 and 2018. They were some low level first division team that finished second in Argentina that year and made the quarter finals of south america's version of the europa league. United did snatch him away from Arsenal so he has some potential. Its just, as the only real signing of the summer, I could see Ronaldo being pissed about that

I think that's what his camp was saying at first but imo he understandably doesn't want to play one of his last seasons in Europa league. But unfortunately for him, top clubs aren't interested in him from a sporting project perspective. I think he'd cut his wages to join Bayern or Chelsea but they just don't want him. It's got to be a massive shot to his ego.

Most top clubs are playing a high press these days and he just doesn't fit into that. Sucks for him but I think this saga will end with him stuck in United.

I think there are a few options potentially open to Ronaldo at this point but they aren't top of the line clubs. I honestly don't think he should have left Juventus until after this world cup. He could have done his fair well tour at United for a season or two and helped the new generation with his mentality then gone to Sporting as a homecoming and retired. He went to United too early and the clubs that could want him probably don't. But the interesting one will be Napoli and Bayern. I don't think Bayern are out yet now that Lewandowski left. If they can't find a long term replacement, Ronaldo might do it in the short run. Them saying they aren't interested might be throwing off for negotiation purposes as well

So lets go through some run downs of interesting things that have happened

Wayne Rooney joins DC United as its new manager. Should be a nice vacation for him after dealing with Derby County shit. Probably going to be there for a bit until a good job opens up in England

Zinchenko has apparently agreed to a move to Arsenal. This makes sense with Cucurella heading to City as a left back and Phillips taking a role in midfield. Zinchenko can play both positions at Arsenal and probably replace both Xhaka and the left back position when Tierney is hurt (so like half the season).

Cucurella (as mentioned above) is on his way to City from Brighton. Apparently he is a Barcelona product that moved to Getafe before breaking into Barca's first team. City are just working out the transfer fee on this one

Shakhtar Donetsk are looking for about 50 million euros from FIFA after FIFA ruled that foreign players could suspend their contracts with the club. Everyone left for free and probably ruined Shakhtar as a club just as badly as a few bombs to their stadium

Zlatan signed a one year contract extension. He can probably continue doing what he did last year of being a mentor, training, and playing the occasional game with Milan. If he is helping the dressing room and not complaining about playing time then this is the perfect move for both player and club

Champions League draws have begun. Not sure exactly when those rounds kick off but Rangers and Monaco are in these early stages

Armando Broja returned early from his US tour for transfer talks with West Ham

Juventus appear to be closing in on Gleison Bremer as their De Ligt replacement. He was heavily linked with Inter but Juve have now outbid them and are leading the race.

EDIT: Now confirmed. Good business for Juve, solid replacement for De Ligt and still some money to spend from his sale to Bayern.

Ben Davies is leaving for Rangers for about 3 mil plus another 1 mil of add ons. I believe he was a panic buy from Liverpool for center back cover and never actually played. Spent last season on loan at Sheffield United. They bought him for a rumor of 500k plus add on fees so this seems like they made some money on this panic buy. Guess you have to do this in order to compete with an oil country club

Zack Steffens has moved on loan to Middlesbrough and Di Maria has joined Juve
