Are we getting to the point where we have to wonder if City plays better without Haaland? Alvarez seems to be such a natural fit as the striker in Pep's system. I'm not sure if I've ever seen City play as well as they did in the second half yesterday.

It's not Haaland. City usually fall apart at some point in the season. Its not really dependent on whether Haaland is playing or not. The issue they have is they might rely too much on Haaland and decide to look for him more than just taking what is given to them.

In other news, Arsenal are playing very well. It looks like their games away to Liverpool, Man City, and Newcastle will decide their title.

No respect for Chelsea? lol, just kidding. Next weekend should be good though. Liverpool have been all over the place with their performances this season. Even in yesterday's game, they looked good in the first half then completely fell apart in the second. Arsenal should be fine if they can find Martinelli in space against Trent, Grealish absolutely buck broke him yesterday.

I didn't foresee next weeks match between Manchester United and Brentford being a fight for a Europa spot, but here we are.

Edit: Potter's downfall was expected. Poor guy

They paid Brighton 21m to sign him and are now paying Potter 60m to end his contract, not counting the money to pay off Tuchel. God bless the Boehly era

I hope he wins Champions League with Bayern, just to rub more salt into their wounds.

Wow Napoli getting dominated by Milan at home. The odds for their champions league matchup are about to change.
Debatable. Gotta see what happens over 2 legs. Might be looking ahead.

Potter sacking is hilarious. Chelsea fans expecting some random big name guy to step in and save them like before. Mourinho coming back?

Man, this sounds like it was an intense game

Ref gets into a fist fight with a player then stabs him, then the fans mob the pitch and rip his head off.
Small-town local-on-local violence, apparently. The fans were apparently family of the stabbed player. Still: "they invaded the pitch and stoned the referee, before decapitating him, quartering him, and putting his head on a stake in the pitch." Almost makes setting the stands on fire seem quaint.

A graphic video surfaced online shortly following the incident that shows medical personnel reassembling Otávio's body.

On the weekend Bayern wrecked Dortmund 4:2 but the result doesn't show how bad Dortmund actually was. They had like one chance in the first 10-15min. From there on it was total Bayern domination.

Tuchel had his 2nd game tonight with Bayern in DFB cup against Freiburg (4th in Bundesliga atm with 4 draws and 1 victory in their last 5 games) and surprise! Bayern lost.
Musiala caused a penalty bc of jackass dumb hand play in 93rd minute and Freiburg scored the 2:1.

So Tuchel's stats are:
- 1 win in Bundesliga
- getting kicked out off DFB cup

Next match for Bayern at the weekend is against Freiburg again but in Bundesliga and then it's against Man City in Champions League.

This saison might get wilder than everybody thought after Bayern announced Tuchel as new coach.
