I see no one saw fit to attach their name to this 9 "paragraph" article. so it's safe to assume everyone at TMZ feels exactly the same way about the issue. Let's see what we can take from this. They care more about the right wing racist and based chuds of culture celebrating this loss, than why did their chosen whores lose lol.
>and if you can believe it ... there are many here in the States who are celebrating their defeat, all because of politics.
Don't start no shit, won't be no shit (DSNSWBNS).
>For anyone who wants a true sense of how divided the USA is right now, go ahead and hop on Twitter
I'd rather grind broken glass into my taint, but you do you.
>A ton of people -- mostly conservatives, it seems -- are crapping on the USWNT and arguing that the team, at large, is reaping what they've sown here ... citing political stances some have taken, including how they handled the National Anthem at the start of the tournament.
DSNSWBNS.
>You'll recall ... several starters for Team USA stood in silence during the 'Star-Spangled Banner' during their opening match against Vietnam
DSNSWBNS.
>Of course, there were also comments Rapinoe made last year about trans athletes in women's sports -- which she unequivocally supported in fiery statements.
DSNSWBNS.
>This is a snapshot of where America is right now ... where culture wars dominate pretty much every aspect of pop culture, which are getting uglier and more contentious by the day.
Remind me again which side of the culture wars decided "the personal is political"?
>On an objective level ... there are also some saying Team USA just wasn't up for going the distance this year, evidenced by their level of play and lack of effective offense
Well, there's that. I guess if you're gonna suck anyway, you may as well piss off damned near every fan of the sport in the entire fucking world along the way.
>actively rooting against your own country's team feels like a step too far
If they had felt the same way about their country the way that every other team in the tournament felt about theirs, we wouldn't have been rooting against them. That they insisted upon repeatedly displaying arrogance and ingratitude to the country that saw fit to pay them to show up and play like utter shit on the biggest stage they could means that we are quite justified in cheering for their failure.
And yes, TMZ: they got paid for that shit. This wasn't a high school tournament where being true to your school is just the right thing to do.
At least the wokescolds aren't blaming the cishet white male coach. Yet.
