Update: Tottenham and Bayern have come to terms (more than 100 million but the exact amount is unknown) but it now looks like Kane isn't so sure anymore about leaving Tottenham this season.

Real. Neuer is still injured and will miss the first couple of weeks. Alexander Nübel who has been on loan at Monaco last season has been loaned to VFB Stuttgart now and Yann Sommer leaves for Inter Mailand. So they only have one goalkeeper at the moment: Sven Ulreich.

Also Mane has been sold to a Saudi Club, Dani Blind is gone to Girona in Spain and it looks like Pavard will leave for Man United.

There's definitely the potential for a few more twists and turns in this saga. Caicedo is heading to Liverpool for a medical today, as Liverpool made the highest bid by Brighton's midnight deadline. However, Chelsea are trying to come back in and sign him. According to journos, Brighton were happy to be doing business with Liverpool as (1) they have good relations with the club, and (2) they have particularly poor relations with Chelsea.

Regardless of what happens, we'll almost definitely know who Caicedo is playing for by the end of the day. Caicedo is supposed to want to live in London, but Brighton should really be sticking to their guns over the midnight deadline, should any new offer come in.

It's funny that the FSG boo boys don't really have a leg to stand on anymore should Liverpool pull this off

EDIT: Caicedo has seemingly told Liverpool he only wants Chelsea

Liverpool had no money to buy Bellingham, a player who they were flirting with for years but now they have money for Caicedo and even Mbappe is speculated there?

They sold Fabinho and Henderson along with getting rid of Oxlade Chamberlain, Milner, Keita, and Firmino. So they have had some more money free up with wages and transfer budgets. I think the Mbappe speculation was for a 1 year loan but was more of just someone throwing a name out there as a destination for Mbappe since Mbappe has stated he won't leave PSG this season and will probably get frozen out of the squad

1. Bellingham made it clear to Liverpool that he only wanted Madrid, which is why Liverpool pulled out
2. Liverpool have since sold Henderson and Fabinho

Yep - and now Caicedo is saying he still wants to go Chelsea. Whereas Lavia wants Liverpool but Chelsea are outbidding for him. I just hope Chelsea bleed even more money and have a shocker of a season.

I am excited for Liverpool this season, just wish there were 1 or 2 more midfielders. Other than that I think the rotation of players is great compared to last season especially. Fabiniho's best value for Liverpool was his fouling to be honest, so I wonder how they're going to cope without his disruptions to opposition attacks.

Fingers crossed though.

Now that Caicedo to Chelsea seems nailed on, I'd expect Liverpool to go in for Lavia; linked with Inacio, too to add to central defence.

Liverpool have a really talented crop of young midfielders coming through/brough in

I'm about to watch the England game (I'm babysitting and have literally nothing else to do). It's ten minutes to go before the start of a quarter final match, and the stadium is blatantly half empty. Why did they hold the womens world cup in these massive stadiums that they were never going to fill?

That said, even though the quality is shit, the England team seem like nice girls. I especially like the one that stood on the Nigerian players back in theast game and got red carded.

They kinda fucked this up by hosting it at an insane time and having a crossover with the men's league starting. Had it started normally during preseason for other teams, it would have been more enjoyable to watch (preseason is also played at 0.75 speed if we are lucky) so it would have been interesting. Instead we got quarter finals games while City shows Burnley what true domination looks like
 
It's DFB cup weekend, the 1st round, but also super cup weekend.

Bayern (last season's champions) played against RB Leipzig (last season's DFB cup winners) and RB Leipzig shredded Bayern 3:0.

Leipzig scored the 1:0 with their 1st shot and after just 4 minutes being played and everything went downhill from there. Bayern had some really good chances then but Mathys Tel fucked them all up. Dude is done. He may be young and not that experienced and stuff but holy shit that was really bad tonight. Pretty sure he won't see any minutes on the pitch with Kane now on board and especially when Choupo-Moting is back. He better starts looking for a new club.

Davis? Horrible. Like an amateur player.
Sane? Gnabry? I don't even know if they played and I just watched the game.
Parvard? He played like he doesn't want to be on the pitch and was trying to sabotage his standing with the club so they are going to sell him.
Kimmich? No ideas, barely had any impact on the Bayern play. But the most baffling about him is that they still let do Kimmich all the corner kicks. He absolutely sucks in doing them but they still haven't figured out to let some other guy do the corners.

Min-jae Kim saw some action in the 2nd half and the whole Bayern defence immediately bc a fortress. Kane came into the match around the 60th minute but basically he was invisible.

Complete Bayern desaster.
