If Serie A could relegate Juve, Anglos can relegate City. They would bounce back in one season anyway but at least it would be something meaningful.
Rangers were relegated in Scotland-bounched back pretty quickly.

I read Harry Kane says he wants to be a kicker in the NFL. After his penalty miss against Spain. I think he should look at another career now.

Jury is out if the PL will have the balls outside of strongly worded letters and I personally don't have faith, but I do hope they nail City to the wall. Cheating in any form shouldn't be tolerated, and what City have done is far beyond the pale.

The worst the PL can do is relegate them to the Championship. The PL don't have jurisdiction over the EFL

The one thing giving me at least a tiny bit of hopium that the PL might actually do something is the NBA of all things. They had their own scandal recently with a team flagrantly ignoring the salary cap. When it was leaked by the press that they were essentially going to do nothing there was such an outcry they had to publicly deny the claims and then hastily concoct an actual reasonable punishment.

Side note, am I the only person who doesn't understand this retard's logic:

How would either of those make the league look bad, given the sheer scale of City's fuckery?

I get the idea. The PL doesn't want to lose one of their big 6 based on ruling (If Spurs want to suck ass then that's on them). But, as is normal with BBC journalists, they tend to side with the perpetrator instead of the victim of the crimes

A retard who writes for the BBC. Who woulda thunk it...

But no, I also don't understand. If anything I'd imagine the entirety of the footballing world would rejoice in unison. It's not like City were clueing them in on all of the skullduggery they were involved in and the PL just turned a blind eye to it. It's very obvious the PL were just sitting there with their hands tied while City flipped them the double bird. I don't know many people who don't like a good story of comeuppance.

What a jackass.

>if they decided to strip Manchester City of their titles that would during that period it would look very bad for the premier league
???????
how much did Sheik Mansoor pay this BBC faggot?
if the premier found that man shitty were guilty of cheating that makes them look fair and competent (they arent btw lol) due to them being able to punish big clubs and upheld the integrity of the league, you cannot hate British journalists enough

I've looked at the full document, I will summarise some of the worst charges.
Expulsion looks more likely than first thought, while yes they don't have jurisdiction there's still a mechanism where they revoke the license (through expulsion) for them to be in the Premier League which leads to the EFL having to vote where to put them, which is highly likely to be League Two (4th tier) but if that fails they would be admitted to non-league (5th or 6th tier)
There could be a scenario where they are in the UCL because they won the Premier League 26/27 and then play Real Madrid on Wednesday but Accrington Stanley on the Saturday.

I attached the judgement but this is the TL;DR:
1.
Equity contributions from its owner, ADUG, were falsely recorded as commercial revenue from Abu Dhabi sponsors. To further misrepresent its financial health, the club also used secret mechanisms, such as the "Fordham Arrangement," to pay player and manager salaries through owner funds rather than official club accounts.

2. Over the course of nine seasons, the club failed to disclose its Abu Dhabi sponsorship agreements as related party transactions. This deliberate omission prevented auditors and regulators from understanding the true financial impact of the club's relationship with its owners.

3. By artificially inflating its revenue and hiding its expenses, the club circumvented UEFA's Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations. The Commission noted that if the club's accounts were accurately restated to remove this disguised funding, it would have failed UEFA's break-even requirements and PL's FFP by £900 MILLION (up to 2 billion euros in today's football inflation that they caused...)

4. After a shock loss in the FA Cup to Wigan, their director told the UAE sponsors to add a million or two to each of the sponsorship fees to make up the financial difference..

5. Rather than assisting the Premier League's inquiry into its finances, the club made "concerted efforts to stop and frustrate the PL investigation". Senior members of the football club were told to make false statements to delay the investigation. These were proven to be false by the Premier League and the independent commission.

6. There's some more but I ran out of time.

EDIT: Journalist found some more financial anomalies even AFTER these charges.

THEY'RE FUCKED, NOTHING THEY SAY WILL SAVE THEM!
Expulsion wouldn't be surprising.

Out Concacafed the Concacaf

Going to a lighter side of news, the Gulf tournament had one of the craziest outcomes. For background, this is a friendly tournament between Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Yemen. Group B has UAE and Qatar advancing on 6 points each before UAE and Qatar play each other. In the other group, Saudi Arabia advance on 9 points, Kuwait get eliminated with no points. Between Oman and Iraq, they both finished on 4 points. They both have scored 4 goals, gave up 5 goals, tied each other 1-1, and thanks to a yellow card to Oman player Al-Shaqsy celebrating the 3rd goal against Kuwait, both teams are tied on yellow cards. As a result, a group of officials met in a Saudi Arabia to pull names from a hat and out came Oman to advance to the semi finals. Nothing has happened before, that I can recall, and nothing might ever happen again but it must be heartbreaking to lose out on advancing based on drawing names. For other tournaments, I can see this being a necessary tie breaker when literally nothing else separates the teams but with a tournament like this, perhaps a penalty shoot out could have been done

Lol this whole debacle makes City look like a tinpot club, even more so than allot of people already felt they were. It's like they bought the editor in FM and just added a couple billion pound to their balance. It actually makes me respect a club like United more. For as shit as their owners are, as rundown as their stadium is, just generally speaking how poor the club is run, and how much of a joke they are on the pitch, at least you know they're a big club. They have the history, they have the fanbase, they have the revenue, and they earned their status as (fallen) giants of the game. City is all smoke and mirrors and I hope they fry. FRAUDS.

They inflated all the wages and transfer fees, that money was laundered into the sport when it shouldn't have been there. They practically doubled their spending capacity for 9 years.

I watched "Three Kings" on BBC4 last night, that looked at the lives of Sir Matt Busby, Bill Shankley and Jock Stein.
Highly recommended. From a time when the words 'club loyalty' meant something.

Things are happening with Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo.

A few days ago, Portugal won 2-1 vs Norway. However, Cristiano didn't play a single minute. People noticed that as the match ended, he left the pitch, seemingly upset about something, even though his team won. Fan videos got out confirming this.

Sep 28-29:
  • Reports emerge that Ronaldo does not train with the full group (does individual/gym/mobility work instead).
  • Speculations of tension or a “refusal” circulate in Portuguese media. Jorge Jesus (Portugal manager) later describes this as normal/planned for Ronaldo (based on their time at Al Nassr and recovery after matches).
  • FPF president Pedro Proença changes plans and travels to the camp (Copenhagen area) to mediate/meet with Jesus and Ronaldo. Reports of private talks; Jesus later claims any issue was already resolved after dinner on Tuesday.
Sep 30:
  • Jorge Jesus goes to press conference about the Portugal vs Denmark match.
  • Emphasizes he is the decision-maker (“Quem decide sou eu” / “In the team, I am in charge”), rules are the same for everyone regardless of status, and no player (not even Ronaldo, Pelé, or Maradona) will change his ideas.
  • Says he had a pre-agreed plan with Ronaldo (and others like Bruno Fernandes) that he would not play vs Norway or Denmark for workload reasons.
  • Claims Ronaldo did not refuse to train (gym work was planned); says Ronaldo would train that day. Indicates Gonçalo Ramos is likely to start vs Denmark; Ronaldo available if needed.
  • Acknowledges players (including Ronaldo) can feel frustrated after warming up unused. Limits questions about him.
  • Shortly after the press conference: Ronaldo arrives at/near Parken Stadium (Copenhagen) but does not join the team training session. He is filmed leaving in an FPF vehicle.
Later...Ronaldo posts on Instagram confirming he has left the national team training camp after the coach’s press conference and a conversation with FPF president Pedro Proença. He says he will tell “all the Portuguese the truth about the reasons” later, and wishes Portugal and his teammates good luck.
FPF issues a statement confirming his departure; preparations continue with the remaining players.

Footage of Cristiano leaving the team.

Elma Aveiro (his sister) talks some shit on instagram. Article about this. Rundown on what she said:
  • CR7 deserved more respect.
  • The national team deserved better organization/structure.
  • Portuguese journalism deserved more competence and less speculation.
  • Regarding the Portuguese people… they don’t deserve to have the best in anything. We are envious, contemptuous/disdainful, ignorant, and deserve to return to the mediocrity of pre-CR7 football.
  • Thank you for everything, CR7! You deserve better!
If this is really the end of him with the Portugal national team: lmao

Now they're getting their sponsors to cry about the Premier League.
The Premier League didn't talk to Etihad Airways (apparently)
It's IRRELEVANT though, the Premier League does not have to call witnesses if they have sufficient evidence, which they clearly did because they won.

Man City, if Etihad Airways had evidence to support them (which they likely didn't), should've called them as a witness in their defence. They didn't. Instead they decided to use witnesses that told provable lies which they have also been charged for...
This is all an attempt to rile up low IQ media people who don't know the law. Man City had no defence, they thought they were above the rules. They blatantly have broken rules from 2008 until now, they have stopped reporting their finances, they have severed ties with the Premier League regulators. The only option should be immediate expulsion.

Somethings to point out

-The ownership are an absolute monarchy. They have never had to deal with scrutiny at this level before so this might be something they know how to deal with
-Man City are on the hook for everything. The EPL might not have to punish them super hard for them to become persona non grata. Think about this, Southampton missed out on the Champions League in 2016 by 3 points. Man City took that last spot, beating them out by 3 points. Imagine how much money Southampton have in damages after missing Champions League that year and completely fall apart as a club
-The timeline starts when the decision gets published. Remember, this is just being reported on and not denied. Once it gets published, City have 14 days to appeal. Then there is a 12 week review on the case to see if any merit is had to the appeal. If they publish this quickly, the punishment could happen this season

Saw this on Reddit which is a good illustration of City's fuckery. Also emphasizes that the current charges only cover 2009-2018, and all of this shady business obviously continued past that

Green = Actual Commercial Revenue
Red = Sham Commercial Revenue

I saw as well that there is an issue over unpaid taxes since they have been paying people off the books through third parties (I believe this is 100% confirmed to have happened with Roberto Mancini so far). It's always been sus that for all the superstar signings City have, their actual reported pay has been relatively low and it wouldn't be surprising if this has been wide-ranging practice and many of these players have unreported earnings

So if this sparks a full-blown investigation from HRMC (UK Tax Authorities) this is a whole other can of worms that can have serious consequences not only for City but individual staff/players

Manchester City’s rule-breaking may go beyond football. The independent Commission found that the club inflated its income, concealed expenses and paid a key individual through a sham consultancy. Leaked documents identify him as City’s manager, Roberto Mancini, with payments routed to his company, Sparkleglow Holdings Ltd. We believe the evidence points to £12m in unpaid UK tax. The consequences could include a much larger tax bill and a criminal investigation.
