General GunTuber thread

Herrera will just have to wage his war and hope that Orange Man doesn't endorse Gonzalez as he does with other incumbents.
Welp

I was beginning to think of Herrera as the out-and-out favorite for the nomination, but this development obviously complicates his path towards the nomination. For what it's worth, however, I can't say this race is over - not when there exists some precedent of Trump-backed candidates barely scraping by or outright losing* their primaries. In addition, Herrera, as far as I can tell, seems to have a solid base of support, one that can keep him competitive in a likely runoff with incumbent Gonzales.
If anybody here lives in TX-23 or knows more about the race, feel free to override my opinion.

*Incidentally this race is how Rep. Lauren Boebert becomes a thing

Hey guys, wanna be MATI at a dumb wigger felon who clearly learnt nothing the first time around?

I can't say I'm particularly shocked, seeing the correlation between low IQ and incarceration all the time here on our site favorites, but I still feel disappointment all the same.

What's the point of jockeying on modern battlefield? Once a drone spots you better pray that your cope cage holds up and the APS keeps up.
Drones also only have a 30-40% hit rate and that including already mission killed vehicles so the ability to manuver is still a vital part of the security onion.

Ian began doing monthly Q&A videos again a while back, which is nice. He addressed a bunch of book questions in today's video, including one about the AK book by Max Popenker. From 1:08:12

TL;DW
- Isn't really even legally/practically possible since the invasion because of all the sanctions and whatnot
- The whole project was basically dead in the water/not going well even before the invasion, because they basically relied on Max to get them photos and he didn't really get access to the guns as much as they had hoped. And that's probably not going to change any time soon, much less if Ian is trying to get involved considering the way he has presented himself as pro-Ukraine.

Could that book be done in English? There is probably a way, but it's not going to be with Headstamp because they can't do it the way they want to do it.

I didn't know Gun Jesus even though I disagree with him on the M14 had a channel where he goes scuba diving and talks about fish.

As it happens, he did a state of the channel video about it yesterday, and says that he plans on publishing one video a week (as opposed to one every two weeks now) now that it has become clear that there is enough interest and he can fit it in his schedule.

one about the AK book by Max Popenker

"We'd truly like to have books about individual Ak production in every WarPact country, do you know someone, that would be really cool"

Yes, there are several people doing research and publishing articles on the subject (East German AKs even had exhibition focused on them and the Wieger a couple of years ago in Suhl, even if the documentation/prototype situation is horrible because the DDR truly didn't like people sniffing around, the collapse was a era of incredibly shady deals by officials trying to loot the place and the Wessies then bulldozed everything to the ground). Hopefully Headstamp will manage to throw 'em out before I die of old age: the Hungarian book (about one of the lesser AK variants without doubt) was well-made and researched, so I have hope.

Can't fault him in being a NAFOfag, but being around some of those types can cause peculiar deviations in thought (proven by the savaged video about Larry Alan Thorne, where he kinda sorta skimmed the "SS" thing while making patches an' jokes). Oh well, at least he's honest.

In this video Tim Sundles of Bufflo bore goes through his plan and loadout for hunting "dogman", a cryptid he asserts is real and is being covered up by the government. Also mentioned: aliens, getting tailed by muggers in Africa, anti-gravity, other dimensions, genetic engineering, telepathic wolves, cloaking, false flags, the las vegas shooting and more.

Furry hunting is a cherished American pass-time and I will not sit here while you slander it

Lucas is very publicly Chudding out. Will he continue further down the path of the Chud or remain stagnant as an antisemitic Christian Dominionist. Years ago on a live stream he made a comment when asked about any potential Jewish ancestry he had that peaked my Chud-ar. Now the Chuddiness is out in the open. I wonder what it is exactly his publicly stated disagreements with his father is actually about then, I always assumed that it was because Lucas wasn't as extreme as Daddy Geoffrey. But maybe it's the opposite, maybe daddy Geoffrey doesn't see eye to eye with his gamer Chud son.
Lucas continues to Chud out, are we witnessing the birth of Lucas Chudkin?

Buffalo Bore guy is like Paul Harrel - he is every older dude who talked to me at gun shows when I was a little kid all wrapped into one man.

He is, and he also shows you proof for what he's done to back up all of his big talk. I can see him turning into a lolcow next year, fueled by his growing fame(infamy?). It's bad enough that he sells ammunition and has a grudge with SAAMI which pisses off everyone else that reloads or sells ammunition but he's also a hunter, believes in cryptids, is a friend of Cold Steel guy Lynn C. Thompson and is also only vaguely knowledgeable in guns. It's an absolutely picture perfect storm for arguments because of the constant bickering for each subject.

vaguely knowledgeable in guns
It's clear he knows a lot about ballistics, and its clear he knows a lot about using guns but not necessarily the history or mechanics of them in detail.

though he probably knows a lot more than it seems since he's shown us at least 5 mil in firearms in his videos. He's got 1 mil at least into those double rifles.

So no Unsubscribed Podcast this week; a weird one as they tend to record about 4-6 episodes in November to have content banked to run from late November to the start of January.

Which I guess might be due to the insane shit from last week's episode....

>>Fat Electrician brags about threatening/yelling at a spastic kid who was ruining things for everyone at a hillside that his hometown set up for sledding for locals (laying down in the middle of the paths and blocking everyone from using the hill)
>>Donut visibly drunk as fuck and in vino veritas, mentioning that his relationship with Jon has gone downhill; besides openly saying he wanted to punch his son in the face for no good reason, he goes off on how him and Jon "play wrestled in public" only for it going from play to Donut trying to beat up his kid. And the other Unsub gangs damage controlling immediately, by claiming Jon can beat his dad up/was beating his dad up and implying that Donut's having a midlife crisis knowing he's peaked physically and that Jon is now stronger/in his prime.
>>King Trout FINALLY came back (to the point that the very first moment of the video during the opening montage is him pronouncing his return) though he only shows up in the last 20 minutes of the episode.
>>King Trout and Fat Electrician get into a shouting match over King Trout having a small head and Trout clout boasting that "everyone just skipped to when he showed up in the episode".
>>Eli, Donut, Brandon, Trout, and Fat Electrician apparently got matching friendship/"The Gang" tattoos apparently, though they refused to show them on stream. Also, King Trout has an extra tattoo of a rooster (or cock) on his upper leg, which he showed on camera while bragging "I had a cock coming down my leg"

The show reminds me why they need Trout back full time on the show and to ditch Fat Electrician to free up space. Also, someone needs to do an intervention for Donut since when you are drunkenly ranting about punching your kid and "play wrestling" with him in public, you have a fucking problem.
