Even if we didn’t already know he moderates a gun subreddit, he doesn’t look any different from any other reddit mod.
 
Gun-related reddit reminds me of how bad /k/ got.
Someone posts a picture of their great grandpappy's generic single shot 12 gauge and people come out of the woodwork to say it's a 30 year old H&R 20 gauge because their cousin's uncle's brother had one or it's a bubba'd Sharps Rifle or it's actually a double barrel since you got the angle of the photo wrong and one shot is dumb because who would have designed a single shot shotgun?

Part of why I like the two kf gun threads is because they're small and none of that dumb shit happens. Except when I get autistic about AKs.

You'd think a man that is so history oriented would have the right confederate flag. This is the Flag of the CSA, the flag that you see most often is the battle flag of the army of northern Virginia. A+ on the grizzled civil war reenactor look though. spot on.

This was recorded while he was at Atun-Shei's house, where they did their live grifting superchats session, so it's no wonder he has the wrong flag; he's the "I fucking love science"-tier history channel for the Civil War.
 
Atun-Shei is something else man. He's genuinely History Channel tier with how bad his content is.

It sounded like he was obtusely referring to the Farms & Reddit at 4:00. He completely avoids the question & immediately deflects towards arguing with internet randos.

His "observations" at 6;00 about reproductions aren't wrong, but the cognitive dissonance set up by his wearing a yankee uniform in front of that flag is intentional. Along with that, he obliquely throws shade at Confederate stans, knowing full well that it's riling up right-wing twits, redditards & chan denizens. Probably because his subs are dead/dying.

I really like Dan Carlin's podcasts; only they're long as shit, and are structured more like his listeners are part of class & discussion, and he doesn't really have a political stance.

After that is Epic History TV, and his Napoleonic series. The personalities interested me more than the battles (although the videos on that are outstanding as well).

And finally, The Histocrat, which my young daughter also enjoys. The hand-drawn artwork caught her attention enough to start listening, because so much is CGI now.

Dan carlin's Common sense is his semi-political podcast. he soft endorsed biden because of muh stability. I REALLY want to hear his thoughts on that choice now lol. To be clear i do not think he is a liberal democrat, he is clearly a libertarian but his other episodes in the past revealed that he is very fearful that the two sides in the US are no longer capable of living together anymore and hinted that he though a civil war might be possible in the coming years. IIRC this was right after the baseball shooting.
