The assmad hidden in this is hilarious. WHY WOULD YOU ASSUME THAT THE GUY I WAS BESTIES WITH FOR YEARS AND THEN WITHOUT A WORD WE STOPPED COLLABORATING, WHY WOULD YOU ASSUME WE'RE TOGETHER?
 
What exactly is so bad about the author of Headstamp's new book? I personally don't care much about Ukraine, but most of the YouTube comments on Ian's announcement video are saying that he's a neo-Nazi and he isn't shy about his politics on his Twitter. I scrolled through his twitter timeline and the spiciest tweets I saw were him saying that women shouldn't be combat troops, some retweets saying anti-immigration stuff like "import Somalia, become Somalia", and lamenting gay pride being pushed by government officials. This doesn't seem like unironic Nazism; what am I missing?

He was in the Azov Batallion which some people see as REEEEE NEO NAZIIIIIISSSS.

And to be honest, they kinda are. Their patch has runes and the sonnenrad on it, for example.

This brings backs fond memories of when I first saw this posted in a company area. As a medic I was both disgusted and intrigued.

Disappointed to hear Cokeman start in with "muh horseshoe" but its his right to be a centrist, even if that's a completely brain dead faggot position to have in the current year.

Who cares lol. Mine Were of Trouble is one of the best books about the Spanish Civil War.

I'm seriously considering doing the same. I skipped the other Headstamp books because while they might be fun to flip through or to leave on the coffee table, they're generally about guns I'm never going to own or likely even see. A modern war memoir, though? That should be an interesting one to read cover to cover.

Even if nothing ever comes out of this, it should at least put a dent on this stupid narrative some people push about Ian being some kind of crypto-leftoid. You don't even consider publishing the memoirs of someone everybody calls a Nazi, much less make the announcement on your own youtube channel, if you're anywhere near the far left.

He always struck me as a libertarian. he has a off the grid solar powered desert dome house so he might be prepper too.

Expect very overt pushes to rehabilitate their image in this country. Perhaps Headstamp received ahem "extra assistance" to "start the coversation", as effete corpos say it.

I mean use the political razor on this one: is it shadowy political pressure? Or is Mr. Jenzen-Jones (or someone else at Headstamp, he just exudes the most opportunism) just taking advantage of the current crisis to sell a book that they admit isn't ready yet? I bet this was scheduled to kick off in the fall and the big bucks beckoned.

It's really interesting to me to hear him say that kinda shit when he himself was posting Sons of Liberty one world government shit not too long ago. The guy may be an honest to goodness lolbert but I really don't know, the whole "I will not be intimidated stop talking about me on 4chan!" line is pure salty seethe in all cases though.

I get the sense that he either got a "visit" from someone recently, or had something happen which spooked him, now he is worried about a target on his back. To be fair, perhaps we should all feel that way.
 
Aaaand here comes the clarification,


It's not going to do anything, the people screeching about it will still go at his throat because he's "platforming a nazi", but hey. At least he's not cucking out and the book is eventually coming out.

ETA: and the book sounds even more interesting to me now. Definitely preordering.
