I haven't watched it, but by any chance did Karl make a series of statements that any lawyer would have advised him not to?

I'm aware of what he said and why.
I'm saying that I'm more interested in what he will say when he can finally say it.
Mostly because I think the final impact of the whole matter will affect him greater than Karl.

He was dragged in to talk about the M16A1 length of pull, buttstock trapdoor storage, as well as accommodations for QD sling mounts all being possibly proprietary to the GWACS lower so he gave smartass answers relating to older guns that used them, which I'm not sure helped or hurt at all.
Apart from talking about the debacle at all and in a video titled "GWACS Armory Sucks" I think you would have to comb through it for something specifically actionable; but yeah a good any lawyer would just tell him specifically to shut the fuck up since InRangeTV is party to the business deal with Brownells.
 
Here’s my official statement

I’ve been receiving numerous messages from friends and followers about the ongoing litigation with GWACS Armory centered around the KP-15. As you may know, GWACS filed suit against myself and my business Sinistral Shooting Technologies in 2020 alleging NDA and Trade Secret violations. GWACS has made a number of claims in this case that I believe to be false and outright offensive. One of the most offensive of these is their belief that they own every idea in my head related to polymer receiver designs through present day. I never signed a non-compete. I concluded my sale to them in good faith, delivering all the assets they purchased. For years after my sale to them was completed I continued to try to help them improve their product and market it more successfully. I did this because I believed in the product and did so without any direct compensation.

I have dedicated my entire adult life to improving firearms designs and their use because I truly believe in the Second Amendment and the rights of all free people to be armed. My passion for competitive shooting and sharing that with my audience comes from a basis of encouraging everyone in this community to improve themselves and be better. I know I will never get rich in this industry, my satisfaction comes from advancing and improving the technology and the skills of the people in it.

Considering that Trannies and their enablers are the segment of our society that is the most ferociously engaged with forcing other people to comply with their religious doctrine (via forced speech codes, pretending there are five lights, lawfare, etc. - all the way up to death threats and actual violence by Vegan ISIS) Karl’s association with them shows that he’s one of three things:

1) A worthless hypocrite who is perfectly fine with authoritarianism so long as it’s aimed at people he doesn’t like,

2) An imbecile who can’t see why forcing people to pretend that someone with a penis HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WOMAN! is a really stupid idea,

3) Some brand of sexual deviant who is trying to normalize obvious pathology as sensor cover for his own paraphilias.

Or, some combination of all three.

If he’s fake/stupid/perverted enough to throw in with the likes of militant trannies or shitbag Antifa pukes like Evans or Deviant Ollam, that tells us all we need to know about the guy.

Karl is the only guntuber with someone he personally knows active in the thread.
