Post your credentials because frankly people with no experience on a topic like firearms/tactics shouldn't think that they have the body of knowledge needed to criticize a youtube video dealing with those topics.

That's dumb to do on this forum. I think alluding to what you do is fine but outright saying it fucks your PerSec. And lets say someone does high speed shit, then everyone else is going to want to know more which will further compromise them.

My experience of first hand fudd lore is that retarded shit where you use a tampon to plug bullet holes. Like holy shit just buy gauze it's way cheaper and there's enough material so that you can create pressure from the wound packing to stop the bleed. Whoever birthed that lore needs die from it. I've heard it many times online but I would never think I would hear a medic tell me about that so the rot of retardation is definitely in their training school.

I first heard the tampon thing at a hunting outing. They claimed that the use originated in Vietnam. Now I thought it was legit because Crazy Larry the Vietnam vet agreed with the person claiming such. However he could have been having a laugh at our expense, don't know.

BTW I hate this fucking myth because nobody ever explains why its wrong they just say its wrong lean back and look smug.
The reason why its wrong is that it takes like 80 pounds of pressure to staunch bleeding and your not getting that from a tampon no matter how much it expands, so gauze and a tightly wrapped bandage are really the only thing that can stop bleeding.

He had other people on to specifically talk CQB, and had a former sniper on the channel to talk about sniping. All he did is host them and let them talk, not sure if that counts as teaching. Hell he even states to seek out people who teach this shit and not just watch a video.

It's in Admin's recent video about the Ohio HCAR, if I recall correctly (I wasn't paying too much attention to it since I had it on in the background) Admin and Ian were going to do something with Ian's Belgian BAR but it was fucking up.

He was a SERE instructor for a stupid long time, cold weather specialist specifically, there's an article where he was interviewed about it, before he got popular. At some point he went officer and shortly after he got JTAC qualified ( I assume it was a stipulation for his promotion. One of my acquaintances did a similar thing for his promotion , but in his case he had to learn a foreign language.)

The thing that kind of rubs me the wrong way about his claims is that, he has posted very consistently with the exception of a few months period. Now that fits really well with him going to officer school and getting JTAC qualified, but it doesn't at all fit with the TACP pipeline, at least from what i've read about it. He's also not been shy about saying he's on officer, but he's fairly squirrely in regards to JTAC and TACP stuff. I'll give Garand credit, he doesn't seem stupid enough to verbally claim things, but he'll play the part all day long if he has to, and let people make the assumption afterwards.

Who knows maybe i'm wrong, but i get the sense if you were an AFSPECWAR Officer, you wouldn't have time to make meme videos and the Air Force wouldn't let you rot in some base for years with 0 deployments.

Edit: I remember seeing a podcast with Travis Haley too where he mentions being in the Navy for a short period of time so i don't even know where to slot that in. In short the service record he claims just doesn't make sense to me.

He would record videos on the weekends and during leave so he'd have a backlog and just have his camera guy upload. I believe this was on a podcast, but I cannot remember which one.

He also fractured his vertebrae during a static line jump, so any deployment he was going to go on would be put on the back burner. Assuming he has deployments to combat zones, it would have been before his injury - which eventually caused him to be medically retired.

He was navy reserves while in college and in med school. Quit med school to join air force. He mentions this in the Haley podcast, and a few others.
