General GunTuber thread

Wranglerstar ain't bad, and I don't recall him ever shilling. I also like how quickly he keeps losing fucks to give in his short videos.
Wranglerstar is a bit cringe, but I'll never hate him simply because he makes leftists faggot redditors seethe so hard.

But considering the top reply to the video is Brandon thanking them for collaborating with him, even if he does 'disagree somewhat' with what their arguments, I think he might just be clinically retarded.
Brandon is still under the belief that you can convince these people to join us/leave us alone. He doesn't understand that without victory, there can be no peace.

Ian reveals that he has a piece of a .45 Colt cartridge stuck inside of him:
Video Description said:
About 6 years ago, I had an accident at the range. We talked about it at the time, but didn't say what the gun involved was, in order to keep the discussion focused on safety and first aid issues. Well, I think it's been long enough now that there's no reason to keep it obfuscated.

The rifle I was using was a reproduction 1860 Henry in .45 Colt. I loaded the magazine tube about half way to get a few shots on camera for b-roll, and just dropped the follower instead of gently lowering it down onto the top cartridge. When it hit the rounds in the tube, the top two detonated, spraying powder and some brass shrapnel out the open slot in the magazine tube. I got a bunch of powder sparkling up my face, but my shooting glasses protected me from any eye injury. One piece of cartridge case about a centimeter long hit me right about at the top of the sternum, and embedded itself in the flesh. We weren't filming at the moment, so there is no video of this happening.

We had a first aid kit on hand, and knew how to use it. Fortunately, the injury was actually pretty minor, although we didn't know that at the time. I was fully conscious and responsive, and I held pressure on a bandage over the injury while Karl drove us to the nearest hospital.

One hears unpleasant stories about hours-long waits in emergency rooms, but if you walk in with a trail of blood down your chest, someone tends to take a look at you right quick! After an x-ray and a CT scan, they determined that the shrapnel was not in a position to do any real damage, although it would cause more tissue damage to remove than to just leave it alone. So I got a couple stitches, and was sent on my way. It's a small enough piece (and non-ferrous) that no, I don't set off metal detectors. : )

While my experience here is simply a single anecdote, it does bring some significance to the periodic trials reports of tube-magazine detonations in trials or in service. The ammunition that exploded here on me had flush-seated primers, and flat-faced bullets. This was not a pointy bullet lined up with a proud primer. "Not only can malfunctions be stranger than we think, they can be stranger than we can think." (Werner Heisenberg, probably)
This video is also the first time he's mentioned Karl in years.

Looking at the comments of this video and I can't believe how uncritical most people are being when it comes to the idea of a gun with a smart lock that connects to the internet
The entire idea is one big red flag to me and it's weird to see such low levels of paranoia from gun nuts of all people
As other have mentioned, Ian has a large audience of Europeans and other people who who think of firearms in relation to their other nerdy hobbies rather than the purpose of the 2nd Amendment.
Brandon is still under the belief that you can convince these people to join us/leave us alone. He doesn't understand that without victory, there can be no peace.
I think you're giving Brandon a little too much credit. He's in it to grow his brand, and while he might be ignorant of a person's nature he knows they can help boost his popularity. Him paling around with politicans like Crenshaw is evidence of this.

One of the 3DP Gun guys I follow (Ivan The Troll) is speculating as to whether because of the partially electronic/digital fire control system converting the Biofire gun would be as easy as changing a line of code or two.
99% certain that yes, it is possible. Rip out the control chip, replace it with something like an ATtiny85. That's assuming there isn't a way to just make it fire mechanically without the electronics.

Ivan always has the best toys. Ask him about 3D printed armor.

That's very negligent of them to have not described the incident closer to when it happened, it's a huge learning experience to describe how the round got set off internally by way of rapid compression.

they specifically refused to name the gun and manufacturer in the original video. IIRC, they were doing their lever gun what if series and had recieved a sample from Henry.

the original video was just a huge ego trip for Karl. he finally got to use his first aid training and just couldn't resist patting himself on the back.

They refused to state the gun, manufacturer, and what happened. I'm not accusing anyone but I would not be surprised if they believed mentioning that specific incident would have sunk the project, though they seem to have done that anyway.

Where the fuck is the "confrontation"? Out of a 20 minute videos there's maybe only 3 minutes of talking to Brandon. They asked him 4 questions and that was it.

Also Austrlian cunts are the absolute WORST people to have this discussion. This would have been way better if it was some German, French, Italian or Russian gun guy to have done this and had a genuine discussion about gun culture in the US and Europe, differences, similarities, myths and why European gun culture seems much more effective at curbing anti-social gun owners when compared to the US.

Nope, instead we get these pasty cunts trying REALLY hard not to make it a race issue.
Australians are weirdly obsessed with American gun laws for some reason. Visit the national subreddit for Australia? Several of the top most upvoted posts of all time are about how great their gun laws are. Remember Newgrounds? The most popular Australian animation on that site is about making fun of America's gun laws. Are you an Australian comedian? Then the main focus of your material will inevitably be about how absurd America's gun laws seem to you. It's this bizarre, nation-wide obsession with something that, quite frankly, is none of their fucking business, and I say that as someone who enjoys making fun of America myself. If Americans are obsessed with guns, then Australians are obsessed with how Americans are obsessed with guns.

Jealousy is a poor color on Australians, I guess.

It seems infectious too, the Guy who made the Virginia Tech Shooting game moved to Aussie land sometime after and then made a game about Sandy Hook which had a part towards the end about how good Australias gun laws are and how dumb America is.
As to why the Aussies think this way, well who can really tell, i feel like it probably all originates from the heavy propaganda post Port Arthur (which seems to be a massive rabbit hole of bullshit itself) and then the addition of Terminally online leftists to the mix leads us to today. side note i love how the NRA are a boogeyman to these people, who have no idea about how useless the NRA really is.

At this point it's best to consider Brandon as useful to gun owning advocacy as the NRA.

I've always maintained that Australia is what you get if you combine the worst aspects of the US and Britain into one country. The soulless, car-centric suburbia and lack of real binding culture and identity of the US, combined with the overbearing nanny state and the smarmy, arrogant, "our shit doesn't stink" attitude of Britain? Fucking pass.

Anyone think Forgotten Weapons is getting WAY more shilly lately?

Video about accident: use cod FORGOTMUHWEAPONS to get 10% of 1st aid kit. Profiles and shoots match with mega expensive Q bolt action gun. Loads more examples recently.
Bills bro, got to pay them.
Ian is wearing a Hawaiian shirt... Wasn't that deemed "problematic" according to some folks a while back?
Something about boogie boys...

I think I remember that Sandy Hook game. It was the one with a really sketchy loose art style, and the second stage is where you get a katana and it's actually way more effective than the gun they give you in the first stage since the kids run right into you and you can slash them more easily than aiming the gun. Good times.

They're basically turbo Canada.
As to why the Aussies think this way
Aussies suffer from a lesser version of what I call "Canada Syndrome". Basically, the entire Anglosphere all come from the same roots but America is the cool badass brother that everyone knows about and so the rest of the Anglosphere fulfills the role of the disappointed parents (The UK but especially England) and the jealous siblings who desperately want mommy and daddy's approval (Canada and Australia) by making it known that they disapprove of the black sheep of the family (America). Their entire identity, therefore, becomes a matter of "Look how we totally aren't America you guys!"

But that's just my perspective as an American.

He doesn't really have much choice. He's running out of guns to cover, the final frontier was Russia but now for obvious reasons that's probably never going to happen. Everything else has either been covered or is so incredibly rare as to be basically nonexistent.

I don't have a problem with shilling med training, if you shoot regularly you should at least take a stop the bleed class.

Eh, shilling is almost mandatory at this point to becoming a youtuber especially Ian who likely has a lot of expenses that come with it, i doubt every Museum and Auction house he goes to pays for his flights and his accommodations. At least he shills fairly practical and useful things and not some horse shit like manscaped or raycons.
