Ian's transitioning into general gun content vs strictly historical gun videos, and frankly I'm fine with it. He's a decent guy and he's probably the best guntuber out of them all imo.

Well guns that are both interesting from a historical or engineering point of view and he can gain access to is a finite pool.

I like Ian's style enough to not mind him branching out. So long as he keeps providing context to the guns (like explaining Hi-Point's business model, which is something incredibly obvious somehow a lot of idiots don't get), I'm fine with it. What I don't want is for him to start doing silly shit like kicking eggplants or magdumping into trash. Leave that to the dudebros.

Also, the fact that Ian went out of his way to thank the sponsor, Hi-Point, and the guy who lent him that really nice SIG, but made precisely zero mention of Karl or InRange while doing the mud test on the same wheelbarrow they used for InRange's tests... not gonna lie, that made me smile.

Some of these tests would've been better done in non meme fashion: Seeing the group from one Hi Point would be interesting. You'd think mechanical accuracy would be good with the fixed barrel.

I'd also have given neither mud test a straight up pass. The SIG needed a lot of remedial action but once done it ran fine.

Ian and Spinners, name a worse pairing.

Hipoints also generally need a little bit of tweaking to the sights to get them where you can shoot them accurately, but once you do, they're pretty much laser pistols.

I shoot a .45 bright pink hi-point in various pistol competitions, and it's been more reliable with whatever ammo I throw at it than the vast majority of race 1911s I've seen.
