General GunTuber thread

My understanding is that seething is mostly a the pot calling the Kettle black situation. As Lucas has his own connection in the gun industry that he doesn't publicize.

From what I've heard Leviathan takes a cut of each sponsorship deal and just acts as a middle man. That being said there's a definite under tone of if you want another sponsorship deal you better say nice things about our gun. Springfield is supposedly notorious for black listing guntubers for saying negative things about their guns.
I suppose the difference is, Lucas has no middle man and he's upfront about the things he has to be; i.e how much PSA pays or doesn't pay for reviews, or how much they make from the dagger holsters.

Also it seems that Leviathan approached T-Rex awhile back and they declined their offer to join, so it's possible he knows more about they function and the others are angry because they don't want those details getting out. Either way Leviathan looks scummy for sic'ing a good portion of their brand influencers on that single post and not actually addressing the issue.

Yeah it was IG. Seems GT and his wife and his camera guy got mad, Reno May got really mad, and demo ranch's camera guy also got mad.
Good lord, I assumed your original post was just a regular question about Leviathan Group. Say what you will about Botkin(and there's a lot), he's willing to kick up a hornets nest. Reno May threw an absolute shitfit replying to all of Lucas' replies trying to end the conversations. Reno's video explaining his relationship with Leviathan Group is what originally made me aware of their existence and he was pretty level headed about it at the time. And of course there's the assertion that Lucas can't question anything about influencer sponsorships because he's a neverserved twink.

The battle for ethics in firearm Youtubing has begun #shootergate lol

I still like the idea/design of the KP 15.
I just can't bring myself to spend money with keArms.
Maybe I'll get lucky and find a used one.

Report your own post; the jannies will fix
Jannies got to it before I could and labeled it fake news. Guess that fixes it.

To clarify, because I am dumb- is this:

"I thought he was deceased but he was not"

or a "I didn't realize that they didn't want to reveal it until later" ?
I thought he was dead and he's not. I'm sure he will be soon, either way this is the last I'll be talking about it. Troy can break the news to everyone, I just assumed he would wait an extremely long time to give an update and I didn't like that. There are a lot of people IRL and online fans that are sitting on the edge over it and I don't think it's decent to keep them in the dark. Paul and his family are like that though, they'll deny anything is amiss until the last possible second, even to close friends and family.

Anyway, sorry again for the bad report. I'll go back to my drinking and stay off the thread now.

Thanks for that. I was worried of exactly what you said, and that they were not only staying quiet but actively denying reality for some sort of weird reason, weekend at bernie's style.

Speaking of weird, I thought I'd put up the public posts from Paul's facebook, because they're pretty funny in a boomer sort of way (I assume it's him because Roy is his friend there). I refuse to apologize for the poor cropping and overall shit appearance.

I'm bored watching a repeat of The Simpsons. Earlier today I fixed the fence. I'm at the coast and working tomorrow. I sometimes concern myself with what legacy I will leave. With will m hypothetical grandchildren know about me? will there be a day when anyone reads this and has any interest in it? Then of course I come to my senses and remember what an absurd thought that is.
Speaking of which, that reminds me. In the morning, when I'm usually wide awake, I like to talk a walk through the garden and down by the lake, where I often encounter a duck and a drake, and I wonder as I walk by just what they would say if they could speak, although I know that's an absurd thought.
Amazing how I remember that, but can't remember why I have a facebook page.
Paul, you don't have to worry about not leaving a good legacy behind.

I also loved his take on leftist protestors:

Here's another pearl from the rotten oyster you open with the question "what's on your mind?"
a long time ago I heard hippy protestors (that would be hippies who were protesting, not people protesting about hippies) professing, "If you're not outraged you're not paying attention."
Well that's true, but I grew weary of being outraged, So I quit paying attention.

Not gonna lie - I really like mine. Even with a standard upper, 12" handguard and 16" barrel (admittedly pencil profile), the whole thing weighs well under six pounds sans optics. With a PA 5x microprism and an offset microdot, it's still less than six and a half.

I can say that I'd recommend a standard two part trigger (I used a HiperFire EDT DMR, but the Geissele ones would be nice) since getting the fire selector out after the initial build is gonna present challenges.

Most of that is from the right choice of upper parts though.

SR and Karl were definitely misleading in the beginning about the "lightweight properties of the polymer lower". Walls have to be thickened so much to match the strength you end up being 5-6 oz shy of a standard complete AR lower (the weight of a deck of cards). If you love the A2 stock profile it for sure widens the gap.

Psychologically the KP-15 definitely has an effect on people being weight conscience elsewhere on their builds though. Can't imagine how poorly it would balance not going pencil barrel, using a quad rail, etc.

I canceled my pre-order when I figured out the final weight wasn't worth dealing with the jank of early production. SR being outed as homosexual only confirmed my decision.

Yeah - I built it light, but not by going crazy about it. No weird skeletonized BCGs, CF handguards or other overpriced specialty nonsense. For a run 'n gun toy, it's a pretty great little rifle tho and it wasn't particularly expensive to put together.

I still think that the KP15 is a neat thing at a reasonable price and I'm glad it's out there - it's not revolutionary, but it's also not a bad product, imo.

/k/ hasn't been about weapons for a few years now, it was starting to become the same recycled threads about armor or aircraft. But it's not just /k/, Paranormal is just pagan cope and astrology posts now. The glory days have long past us.
I miss 8/k/'s resident Vietsperg and the Hungarian autist weaboo. Even the Kurisu avatarfag and the FUCKING LEAFS were leagues more fun to post alongside than nu-4/k/'s NAFO worship or the diaspora's war porn and /pol/fags.
