"We won't do X because the anti-gun people will get mad," said the gun manufacturer.

Sounds like the anti-gun people already won. Why legislate parts kits when you can get the manufacturer to stop providing them for sale? Maybe anti-gunners have figured out the Liz Fong Jones method.
I don't disagree, but you can either run a business or go against the grain of a heavily coordinated political front, but generally not both without shady assistance. Without true parallel economies (which are not realistic within a single political entity) that will not change.

It's nothing to be overly concerned about.

Half of those have to be crime guns anyway.

Hop put out his Moons Out Go*ns Out video and review of the Sionyx Opsin:
tldw: Its kinda shit and digital nightvision isn't taking over anytime soon.

It's funny how the Karl fanboys can only make 2 arguments in defense of him in the comments of everyone who ever mentions him;
  1. "Karl is bad but so is Ian or x"
  2. Don't you support second amendment for all?

The only response to that cliche is: “Of course, neo-Nazis, fascists, homophobes, transphobes, and racists should all own guns.”
Or alternatively "of course I support the right of The People to keep and bear arms". I can't imagine Thomas Jefferson would have been particularly keen on giving guns to farm equipment or lunatics.

This is the correct answer. The Current Year Weimar America we live in is the direct result of people being given rights who The Founders correctly would have told to eat shit.

Therein lies the problem of the US gun industry. Most of them are just trying to run a business to the detriment of the 2nd amendment. They're the only ones that have any leverage over the government outside of a courtroom. Even a brass company could say, "We're not going to provide parts to suppliers honoring government contracts until the ammo background checks stop." Somebody has to arm those 100k new IRS agents, and the government doesn't manufacture its own small arms. They'll always have Boeing and Raytheon on board, but it would be nice if someone at Federal was willing to stand up for 2A shit outside of donating yacht money to Wayne LaPierre.

I hate it when I read a comment on Twitter where in the video it’s some very clear gang member with a Glock switch firing it off full auto in some makeshift backyard in the hood but because they’re black you’ll have some boogaloo or current day 2A meme identity suck them off about how great this is for the 2A because now blacks won’t be racismed against by evil whites and cops. Last time I saw there was someone bragging that inner city gangs are proof the government is afraid of you and won’t take your illegal machine guns because of how scared they are. Which is complete bullshit and acts like Waco didn’t happen.

From an outsider (UK) perspective, it's quite obvious that the whole US Constitutional situation outlines a set of rules that can only really apply in a culturally homogenous ethnostate such as that the founders lived in. If only you'd chosen to pick your own cotton....

Getting back to guntubers, it really does feel like the whole bubble must be approaching bursting. The Leviathan (interesting choice of name for a bunch of supposed God-fearing Christians) bros are all utterly interchangeable and the content is getting increasingly dull. Bizarrely Kentucky Ballistics kabooming guns in slomo for science is now probably the most interesting of the "mainstream" guntubers; the Administrative Thumb types shitting out another cosplay video with AR-15s is just ugh, Paul has an imminent appointment with the man upstairs, Ian has run out of interesting guns, and Karl is a devil-worshipping loon.

Anti-gun people have been king of the hill ever since gun control was first enacted, the struggle is selling guns to people without being bogged down by bad press and frivolous lawsuits; something Hi-Point avoids because black on black crime is not reported on.

Yeah those are all crime guns/turn-ins, pretty sweet deal when you can sometimes find something unusual you can scavenge for parts or use for a new build.
I've passed on some clearly haunted pieces, though, ghosts don't pay rent.

In KY the state police auctions off evidence locker guns that can't be returned or are unclaimed every year or so. I've never bought one but i'd like to get one with an evidence number electro-penciled on it. that'd be cool.

Thank God for capandball. His hunting videos are something else...

Smaller content creators like capandball, @Othais, brassfacts and hop will probably end up being the last ones making interesting non fed content.
Seeing @Othais post here got me to actuaally watch the channel and wow I can't believe it evaded my autism for so long, now I got countless hours to listen to.

This is a pretty good companion to C&R, it's basically the naval version and the only British historian channel who isn't a breadtube neoliberal with a posh accent who is a cunt.
This one is for aircraft.

Make sure you archive all of the C&Rsenal content because you never know when YouTube will remove all gun content. It's great to have a personal playlist of Small Arms Primer and the old Tales of the Gun episodes.

It should also be mentioned that YouTube has never turned a profit, ever and is a huge money pit. the free real estate that we have all been enjoying for videos of all kinds can and probably will come to an end at some point. the amount of shit that YT has stored (millions of terabytes) will have to be trimmed down at some point and who is to say that something you like will get the axe? save everything.
