Is there any mail-in ballots shenanigans that can (or already have) happen? Usually those come in after counting all the normal ones, 407 votes is basically nothing so anything could swing this either way.

Brandon managed to narrow the race down to only 407 votes, but Tony still managed to win. I don't know enough about election law to know if the fact the votes were so close can trigger a recount or anything, but if they can't then at the very least Brandon managed to nearly dethrone a incumbent candidate in his first try at politics.

Glad my family and I wont be moving to Texas for several more years. Tony will do all he can to destroy it.

May not have won, but this is still a victory in my book. Everyone is talking about the disproportional amount of money spent, but the real deal is now that Tony and his policy choices have been made well known to the public, and that thin vote margin proves it. People are pissed with Tony regardless and I would hope people will take any and every opportunity they can against him so that Tony is always on the hot seat and can't just go against his own party's interests all willy nilly.

This is damn impressive for his first try at this (especially considering all the money his opponent spent to defeat him), he should run again in 2026.
