General GunTuber thread

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Who wants a knockoff Sturmgewehr for 6.5k?
(Invidious)
A whole hell of a lot of people, especially WW2 nuts and reenactors will happily pay that. Think about how much people spend on cars and instruments. My Grandfather has a 5,000 dollar Gibson banjo. 6,500 for one gun is well in line with other hobby prices.

if it was a basic bitch AR or glock you'd have a point.

It's hard to impose inflection through text but it was more of a casual call to attention than dismissive. Still, though, I don't see their income being steady unless they have cheap shit on the side. I'll reserve judgement until I see the price point on their MP3008.

Full auto? If not, than no.
Some day, but not today.

It's Sport-Systeme Dittrich? About time they started to open in America too. The reply is: a lot of people, particularly in Europe were semiauto-only is kind of common. You have essentially the option to pay 5k euros for a STG (that was gently mauled in semiauto-only) or 12k for a G41 or go to SSD. The other repros simply can't compete, SSD stuff is built better than the originals (not that difficult considering how and when they were built).

To answer the obvious, no, they don't have bother with cheap shit on the side, they let other people (for example, GSG repros) run that side entirely. If you buy SSD you buy premium, it helps that their shop also does other work on the side, if I remember right. They will never have a massive market but they're not interested in having one.

Enjoy Ian touring their shop.

If know if I had the money to piss away I wouldn’t mind a semi auto one just to run around 2 gun matches in full SS repro kit for no other reason than knowing it’ll cause seething.

So this channel got algorithmed at me and I tentatively clicked on it expecting to play another round of troonspotting but that didn't turn out to be the case.
Found it pleasant - a low intensity enthusiast LARP in a sea of overdone dramatic-music/action-cam operator flat range footage. Might be in the Brass Facts sphere of influence based on some comments? Not sure.
Also there's a cute dog.

Looks like Autonomous Defense has deleted his YouTube profile after Glow So Bright has uploaded a response video specifically addressing his video as well as the whole Brass Facts/Matt Pranka drama 5 days ago. It seems that much of the points GSB has made, which some seem to have been lifted from this thread, has been put into a 40 minute long response video.

Seems the GSB video has gotten as of posting about 6K views and still is going strong, with FocusTripp having arguments in the comments section with USPSA guys. While the Autonomous Defense video had roughly 3.6K until it closed.

Despite Glow So Bright being unknown it seems that this video is the best performing one he has. Channel name is pretty funny and surprisingly little to none fedposting... unlike Dugan

But upon closer examination from his latest video about what the Healthcare CEO Assassin used:

It's not even his hairline that's fucked but his entire scalp.

Steroids, not even once.
It's way rougher than I thought. Undercarriage looks completely rotted out despite the lack of rust on the rocker panels
