That's always bugged me, you those slightly bigger pistol calibers would've found some success in PCCs. Especially 357 SIG since I've always kind of been interested in, not enough to dump money in that black hole. Though I almost got a LEO trade in 320 in 357 SIG but held off because it was a 320.

Selling someone a gun is easy, selling someone a cartridge is hard. The reason you get a PCC is because you want ammo commonality with your handgun and you've somehow convinced yourself that this thing is anything more than a stupid range toy. Or you already know that PCCs are stupid range toys and you just want to shoot ammo you already have anyways.
A few groups used the MP5/10, which I hear was nice to shoot. The issue is that you now have one freak gun in inventory with its own special snowflake ammo. Sure, it's better, but is it better enough to justify the expense? It also precludes being able to pull ammo out of your sidearm's mags to feed your primary. If someone's in that situation, he's probably got bigger issues, but you know someone brought that up at some point when they were being considered. I think one of the great tragedies in the gun world is that 5.56 and 9mm are both good enough for most everyone. There's really no point in trying to develop something else, because those two cartridges are so profoundly average that they'll outshine anything more specialized in half a dozen different use cases. That's led to this bizarre oligarchy where any new cartridge would have to be both practically free and amazing at literally everything.

My suspicion is that even if there was no NFA and no import ban getting anything full auto from the UK or Germany would be borderline impossible due to their export situation. Even exporting semi autos from Germany seems dicey, Now Russia on the other hand, is allegedly hording loads of WW2 surplus to sell when the time comes, even shit like Thompson SMGs (we gave them to them as equipment on lend lease Shermans and they replaced them all with Soviet weapons before sending the tank out) just sitting in depots. I'm also sure full auto HK clones from the Turks would be on the street the next day.
I don't know. The German government would probably be pretty interested in getting their cut from H&K, so they may amend that law to only include "trusted allies" or some shit. It'd also give them a (perceived) lever to pull against the US. I don't know of anything full-auto even being produced in the UK anymore, except maybe Luty guns, but if you're getting store bought Luty guns, you're doing it wrong.
