General GunTuber thread

A couple days ago Klayco interviewed some guy (who I initially thought was bullshitting) who claims to have among other things dated and became engaged to Anastasia Gorbunova (the eccentrically dressed woman in most of Zenitco's instructional and advertising material)

Some interesting claims
-relationship began over Instagram DM's
-Anastasia and her father Nikolai (founder of Zenitco) are founding members of Team Total Hohol Death, fanatical levels of hatred.
-Zenitco is filled with glow in the dark FSBNiggers
-Nikolai was allegedly somewhat somehow involved with the planning of the 22' SMO, was originally supposed to start Dec. 13 21'
-Guy claims to have had foreknowledge of several months via Anastasia of an impending escalation in the Ukrainian battle space
-Gorbunova family is super rich

Guy got ran out of the country in Jan of 22' by Nikolai/Anastasia because he refused to surrender his American citizenship, he was super mad and while sitting in Moscow International he decided "I'm going to make my own AK Furniture company but with carbon fiber" and so he did. Wild shit.

Also this guy is either telling mostly the truth or is the world's greatest liar because he has a picture of him with Anastasia.

Or Youtube did it automatically. They do it all the time. Ian, by his own admission, doesn't have much time every day to read comments.
In my experience, there are three layers of a comment shadowban on YouTube. All of them can be verified by opening the video you've commented on in incognito mode. If after 1-2 minutes from posting it you can't see it in incognito mode, it's been shadowbanned, It's also how you can verify which type of a shadowban it is.

First one is the algorithm, which is schizophrenic and acts randomly on single comments. That's why you'll often see comment chains on inactive channels with seemingly missing replies. It never acts on an entire channel, it's global, it's always active and creators can't disable it.

Second one is channel word filters. Those will act the same way the algorithm does, but, again, on word filters. If you can post an innocuous comment and it goes through, but another one with a word that would show up on another channel doesn't, that's a word filter shadowban.

Third one is a channel-wide shadowban. This one can only be done by creators and channel managers. I know that I've been shadowbanned from Louis Rossmann's channel after engaging in a livestream chat once. Louis would otherwise respond to comments that I'd believe to be too much so I know he wouldn't be the one to do it, but his chat jannies would be more likely to, so it seems that a livestream chat ban and a comment ban is one and the same.

Not a single one of my comments will show up on any of Ian's videos. I could post it on another channel where I know I haven't been shadowbanned by the creator and it would show up. But not on Ian's channel, or on Louis' channel, where my account has been shadowbanned from. This excludes the algorithmic shadowban, as well as the word filter shadowban, as those wouldn't apply 100% of the time. A channel shadowban does, and that's what I'm experiencing on Ian's channel. This means that if Ian doesn't have anyone managing or moderating his channel, he was the one to shadowban me, and I remember that at that time I was posting some mildly controversial comments that I double checked wasn't algorithmically hidden, like I do with every YouTube comment that I post to make sure others can read it.

That personal experience of mine, as well Ian's other actions that were described in this thread lead me to believe Ian is exactly the type of politisperging spastic to burn his career into the ground if he doesn't keep his retardation in check.

After all that autism, I've a feeling Ian was skimming through his comments early one morning, took a single look at whatever "unflattering" words you offered to a couple of nations that weren't the subject of the video, said "ain't nobody got time for that", and shadowbanned yo' ass for being both political and off-topic.

Engagement be damned, spergs are not a good fanbase.

It's not Ian who has trouble keeping his retardation in check.

Let's go back a few pages:
Case in point, hearing what he has to say on Politics. You’d think by seeing Karl’s spiral downfall and after seeing how normal guys like Brandon and Admin are…He’d stop and think, “huh, maybe this leftist thing isn’t really all it’s cracked up to be.”

Exhibit A from his video on the Fenian invasion conversion rifle:

And a whole bunch of pages back there'll be discussion of Ian wearing a NAFO patch, or Ian inserting snarky political remarks into his gun history videos. The only reason I mentioned my shadowban is to serve as an anecdote to an already established pattern that Ian has been showing, which is slowly inserting his left-leaning politics into his channel and content that's been always known as apolitical, which, if left unchecked, will lead to a downfall.

I stand by what I said. If you want to believe that me being in the wrong absolves Ian of getting increasingly political to the detriment of his online reputation of an apolitical gun history buff, that's fine. Downfalls like this happened before, and people who would point out such patterns would also be considered as the ones in the wrong as there would be no way that person would end up having a thread here. Until they did that is. But only time will tell if I was being a retard or if I was right.

I get your point, but I'm pretty sure people are still allowed to have political positions and occasionally voice them. Making a snarky remark about Rhodesia LARPers doesn't make you a lolcow. Taking yourself too seriously and getting into drama does. And for all the talk about Ian being a raging crypto-far-lefty, I don't think someone of that bent would be fine starring alongside a member of the gunbro fratpack like Administrative Results. What we can see clearly is that Ian is naive as fuck, mostly interested in being left alone with his hobbies, and waaay too willing to take people's claims at face value.

Either way, if these are all the signs you can compile with regards to his descent into lolcowdom after 14 years on the internet, assuming he stays the course we should be seeing him earning that coveted title by 2039 or close to that.

assuming he stays the course
And that he doesn't either:
a) exponentially increase in the spergery where it'll come way sooner (what usually happens with lolcows)
b) get a reality check, hit the brakes, go full apolitical and on-topic about old gun history (what will hopefully happen)
Things are never linear in life, and the chaos theory exists for a reason.

Though in the end, I am still the biggest fool for bothering with engaging with YouTube comments where you have to triple check your comments will actually be seen by people. I really am a waste of life given how I keep falling for the traps I am already aware of.

I managed to get my YouTube account shadowbanned from Ian's channel after leaving some comments that IIRC weren't very flattering towards Poland or Ukraine under the FB Łucznik tour video. I verified that no matter what I post on his videos gets hidden, and checked just now that that's still the case, and I doubt he has jannies doing it for him, so he most likely personally banned me from his channel over differing opinions. Which, by the way, is a dumb move as negative engagement still counts as engagement on YouTube, so letting a single comment chain turn into a politisperging bloodbath that you personally don't like where half of the replies get autohidden by YouTube is overall a good thing for your channel.

I have a sense that Ian has the potential to become a lolcow if he doesn't learn from his mistakes to shut the fuck up and realizes that the good will he has today as Gun Jesus is fickle, not permanent.
What were the contents of these comments? If you swore in them, that might be the reason why. The YT algorithm hates profanity.

@Slav Power By your own admission, you're the one who started political shit in one of Ian video's comment section. Sperg or not Ian is in the right for deciding he ain't got time for that tard shit and shadow banned you for it. There's already plenty of political tards and spergs covering the war, harassing youtubers who're staying out of it is assholish behavior.

I didn't since I know how much the YT algo loves to hide comments even without swears. Though again, this is 100% a manual channel shadowban. Not that it matters since now you're all making this about me and I don't feel like engaging in this discussion any further.

If my comment here was harassing Ian then the entire forum is what the mainstream media is saying, a harassment forum. Ian doesn't even remember my YouTube comments, he will never in a million years read my comment here for it to affect him, there is zero chance he'd even know which YT user I was since my comments are long gone, and yet you have to declare it as "harassment". Ian doesn't even know who you are either, so there is no need to defend his honor on a fucking gossip forum.

You just can't know that, I don't think. There doesn't really seem to be a method to YouTube's madness. About half my comments get filtered, even if it's just "hi, nice video." And I'm pretty good at hiding my PL, so I'm not ranting and raving in YT comments. I probably just literally misgendered someone when the trannies were at the helm of the internet, and that account is just forfeit in terms of engagement. (Which, realistically, while I can blame youtube for PUTTING troons in power, I understand how undoing 4+ years of troon-justice is just not realistic/feasible.)

And a good portion of the channels I get deleted from also do livestreams, see me in chat, and reply (happily) to my messages.

So, even though my sample size is just me, I can't see how you would ever know you've been manually shadowbanned by the channel, and not just YT or one of its rogue admins.

New Hop video on the Colt Double Eagle and a brief mention of the All American.

Video:
I much preferred his content when it focused on cheap 90s budget pistols. I especially enjoyed his series on the P-series Rugers. its why i bought one, it was very cheap and is legitimately good firearm. very accurate and a GREAT trigger.
