Only actual genuine reason ive seen people dislike Ian over is the Rock Island Auction thing IF its real(supposedly got his famas by cutting out the auction and went straight to the seller, got his seller info from RIA).
Rest of the reasons ive seen have been mostly autistic, such as:

-Why wont you become the signal boosting beacon of my politisperging at the cost of your career?
-Why wont you rant about tranny rights on twitter like Cuck Karl?
-You like the French and the Finns, therefore i hate you.

Even that one is easy to excuse with "a friend gave me this and told me it was an internet meme". Ian seems to be pro-Ukraine, but it looks less like "I LOVE CURRENT THING" and more inspired by the old-school Cold War attitude of the Soviets being complete assholes and having the receipts to show for it. Which would make sense for someone so interested in history.

You could also criticise him for all the small mistakes and mishaps he has had in his videos. Those are pretty common as for the most part he doesn't delve into super minute detail when it comes to all firearms he handles. Understandably his format is to churn out several million cubic tons of content in the 10-20min YouTube style. And not in the way Othais or for example BotR do their long form content. This does lead into those mistakes I mentioned. But if he followed similar style we probably wouldn't have Ian to be as big as he is now and I think it is beneficial to have these several layers of guntubers in the end. You want easy, but educational entry level information, that is Ian for you. You want super minute detail long form content, there's Othais and friends.

At the end of the day I find Ian mostly harmless. Could he be better? Yeah, but I am not going to twist myself into a pretzel being all ornery about it.

Even if he doesn't want to upgrade his mic, I really wish he didn't keep accidentally releasing mono-only videos that only my right ear gets to enjoy.

I get having gear issues, but come on. Just watch the fucking video for 15 seconds after exporting it and check if the audio is there to begin with. That's free.

I've have serious problems with School of the American Rifle. While I want to see the intricacies of the defects in an entry-level AR-15 and use of all gauges. I don't want it blasting only in my left ear for 6 hours straight, with another 6 more videos of similar length. Especially with the volume levels being inconsistent.
