I think if a hunter uses an inappropriate caliber or cartridge for the game animal he is pursuing and loses meant its on him, or if he hunts in a way harmful to others he should be charged.

other than that I don't think there should be any restrictions other than hunting seasons and tags/quotas.

IF you want to bait your animals in, do it. if you want to hunt in a way to tag out in 30 minutes, do it.

as long as the yearly culled amount of animals isn't impacting the overall population it should be anything goes.

Thirty years ago, yeah, it made sense for white tail deer but today your average hunter is in his 60s and most kids are too fat and gay to want to go hunting. Either reintroduce wolves and mountain lions or let me kill ten of those retards.

Tags aren't a fixed limit. They can issue 100 tags per person or 1 depending on conservation needs.

I mean, most states will. Where i live in kentucky I can only shoot two deer. one doe and one buck. but that is only because i live in the mountains where the population is low due to rough terrain and less food.

in western kentucky you can essentially kill as many deer as you want. so if i want to i can just go three hours down the road and blast cervids till my heart is content.

Here it's one buck tag per hunter state wide for gun season, but doe tags only cost like $9 each and you can fill a certain number in each county depending on the management goals(4, in most). I end up with around ten deer most years.

I think baiting/feeding is the only thing that makes some sense as deer can apparently spread chronic wasting disease. It's an issue that's seen baiting fall in and out of legality a few times over the decade in my surrounding states. Ironically though food plots are totally legal in my area so I'm not sure what's the difference between a legal deer garden and an illegal pile of corn when it comes to diseases.

I see more deer dead on the side of the road than on the community buck pole any given year. I think what was mentioned above makes total sense: who gives a fuck about "sporting" when there's no guarantee you'll fill a tag you paid for anyways and that deer are more likely to die by motor vehicles.
