You have just fallen for the lore, Chinese guns are in fact, shit. Just like pretty much anything else coming from China. They cut corners wherever they can, to get the cheapest product out there.
The only exception to this is the SKS. Norinco SKSs are actually decent.

Someone post that video of Chinese special forces training and the targets showing their bullets are tumbling sideways because their guns are garbage.

That's where you're wrong, bucko. Guns are always SUPER SERIOUS and you need to spend thousands on guns that you will use for either SUPER SERIOUS 3-Gun comps or for home defense. "Fun" isn't allowed in the shooting community. Now watch my 45 minute video on how to clear your house in the middle of the night when your wife's boyfriend makes too much noise leaving, brought to you by SDI and AAC.

Also, if you say something in a gun group that pisses me off, I WILL challenge you to a FLEX-OFF where it means I automatically WIN because you didn't spend thousands of dollars on a KAC or LMT or Staccato, YOU FILTHY POOR.

That video doesn't exist. The PLA has the best soldiers and the best equipment. This counter revolutionary thinking is frowned upon here.

Then I'll challenge you to put 100 rounds through your Staccato without jamming. The only reason to buy an LMT is if you wanted a clone of what New Zealand and Lithuania use for their service rifles for some reason. You forgot that Czech Alien pistol, that's the newest flex. Gone are the days when you could whip out a Mark 23 and people would be impressed. Sad!

My range has the new HD C3.6 and it's really nice to shoot. I'd probably get one to replace my PDP as an EDC if I had the money to burn because I loved the form factor and how comfortable it was to shoot. But like all the Gucci guns, the benefits aren't worth paying 2k+ more.

RE: The Alien pistol. I actually really like the lower bore axis guns like the Alien and the Rhino. It does make a big difference in recoil control.

Counter-point: If you weren't such a noodle armed little vegan looking mong you would be able to handle pistol recoil like a real man.

Incoming Q Industries Kevin bitchfest, sugar weasel only lasted 200 rounds
I love Q Industries because they're basically the gun company Ian would own if he had complete creative control over manufacturing. Whackadoo weirdo guns in stupid chamberings made for people with disposable income. And Kevin is great because he's such a thinskinned little bitch who reminds me of those musicians and film makers who tell you that it's your fault if you don't like their "art".
I just saw it was a gas tube failure. I wonder if they make their own gas tubes? I would imagine they use an outside vendor as would a lot of other assemblers.
Also unsurprising since in the IV8888 and the GarandThumb meltdown videos the gas tube was the weak point in the AR platform for them as well. That is the part that has the most significant heat load in the entire system and the gas tube is by necessity a thin and delicate part. I think that this guy is a dipshit though for calling it concerning or alarming since, yeah, a gas tube failure is typical for an AR meltdown. 200 rounds is bad, but this failure is not atypical.

I'd also like to remind people that the AR15 was never designed for sustained long term fully automatic firing, it isn't a GPMG, it's an assault rifle. When Stoner designed an AR15 for LMG work he made the Colt Automatic specifically because he knew that the barrel and gas tube were the weak point in the system in that sort of role.

They usually fail after 700 rounds of continuous full auto. Failing after only 200 is concerning.
Sure, it would be, if this gun were in any way designed for fully automatic fire. I don't think that 99.999% of users will ever be able to replicate this failure due to the simple fact that 99.999% of users do not have access to a fully automatic lower nor are they fast enough to replicate that ROF, nor do they have any reason to. Sure you might have some retard with a super safety or a bump stock try it but once again; I think it's reasonable to assume this won't be a typical case. Frankly I think that meltdown tests like these are kinda dumb because they don't tell us anything we don't already know, if you use a tool for a purpose it is not designed for it will quickly wear out and break.

Plus keep in mind this is a short barrel which doesn't help at all.

In Europe, we still have access to Chinese guns, and AFAIK the quality is all over the place. Some, shoot really nice. Some, are utter garbage. You are graded by your lowest score IMO, thus why I said that the Chinese guns are shit.

Most new Norincos I see at the range shoot straight. Finish is a dice roll though, most of them are rough. They would be a funny starter if you take them in 5,56, buying anything in Soviet calibers is flirting with pain. They're not viable in shooting competitions anyway, you get 'em just for fun.

Euros in general have wide variety of AKs between former comblock countries that keep making them and love to make 'em overpriced (Poland, Bulgaria) the drying amoung of surplus and Russian "new" production. The problem is always fit and finish, Saigas are great guns (I love mine) but their fit and finish can't compare to surplus Polish or East German rifles.

Pity I never managed to get a good Type 2/Type 3. The ones I found weren't in good condition but you can feel the difference with the milled receiver. If only ammunition wasn't insanely expensive nowadays....

It’s not that short of a barrel. 13” is still using a carbine or mid length gas system.

I bet this could have failed from semi auto fire if you were just repeatedly mag dumping. But in this case I think it’s a defective gas tube.

I agree that continuous full auto until failure is a silly test, but it is interesting to see the guns that get to 1000 or more rounds.

Norinco had different production lines for military contract Type 56s and the American bound guns. In order to sell a Type 56 in the US they had to redesign the internals so that it wasn't easy to modify to be full-auto and couldn't be built on a full-auto receiver.
There was that one time some Labanu-imported AKs made it into the country with third hole receivers and nobody noticed until some gun stores had already sold them.

Nutnfancy has a new video out and the FIRST thing he does is bitch that SHOT Show wouldn't give him a press badge because of how irrelevant he now is.

Nutn had this idea that he could do the boomer meme and just walk up and demand a press badge when everybody (I assume) has to do the same song and dance to get approved, and he got mad, like he tried to skip the line at the post office and got told off by an employee. True and honest boomer entitlement.

The dwell time on a 14.5" barrel is still 15% greater than the dwell time on a 20" barrel. 0.18 milliseconds for a 20" is industry standard, 14.5" dwell time industry standard is 0.21 milliseconds. I don't know what the dwell time is on the Sugar Weasel but I would imagine that it's probably longer than that. I'd also like to add that these are assuming a proper length gas system and properly sized gas port, the Sugar Weasel has an adjustable gas block, and if the guy in the video didn't tune that gas block correctly for that kind of shooting it would have potentially drastic effects on the rifle's dwell time. For all we know that thing could have been way overgassed. And judging from the ejection pattern it looks like it very well could have been.
