Part of the cowardice meme no one wants to talk about is the real reason France surrendered. TL;DR the far right, centrists, and the communist far left factions of France has been in bitter political war for ages over control over France and when WW2 hit and France invaded, a coalition of far right and centrists ran France and made a deal to surrender, citing not wanting to repeat the carnage of WW1 and the notion that the far right was willing to bend the knee to Hitler (who was the lesser evil compared to communist Russia) to gain the necessary power to eliminate the far left and reshape French society. In a way it worked, but at the expense of securing the far left's control over France for generations and castrating France as a super power.

Garand Thumb is like a TV show that started out super serious but then they introduced a fan service character (Administrative Results) that completely blows up the dynamic of the show in a good way and the show starts leaning into farce and you have stuff like Garand Thumb growing a porn stache for several episodes, a bunch of new silly sidekicks to capitalize on the original break out character (Charlie and Micah), silly comedy, a tradfam arc, divorce arc, and you suddenly have a show that has veered far from its original premise but in a good way.

Thrilled to hear that Oxide has been outed. I remember him from his Warthunder days - petty of me but for some reason I've always remembered how much of a dick he was in the comments of older youtube videos and how dislikable he was as a result. But now I realise he probably almost certainly had a touch of the 'tisms. Especially with the revelation that he enjoys getting mildly discombobulated by a micropeen whilst pretending to be a furry animal.

I enjoyed his Insurgency videos, but even back then the talk in the grapevines was that he was a wangrod to deal with and since then all the larping he has done was just super off-putting to me.
