Mike Beliveau of the "duelist1954" Youtube channel and long time writer and editor of various gun magazines aswell as a western novel ghost writer has been diagnosed with terminal stage IV pancreatic cancer. He does not expect to linger much longer. he is taking Chemo for the benefit of his family to extend his life a little bit.

This man was the first guntuber that i watched religiously. great content. He got banned once for a global warming joke, among other non-PC things but got his channel back. he bought property in Blymire's Hollow in york county PA to use as a private range, but the township sued him to stop him from using his own land. it was a long drawn out court battle that IDK if he will live to see the end of.

tried to post this last night but it disappeared for some reason so here i go again.

unironically watching this I think their just preparing their population for mass mobilization against america , which is kinda interesting

You are also showing how to use AKs and now PKMs to population which was five months ago protesting against IRGC and calling for their removal. Probably not the smartest option to give guidance to people who want you dead, who are just missing the guns to actually pull it off.

Did you win because you designed the course? Have you won competitions that you didn't host?

I won because I’m good with a rifle and I’ve been competing for 26 years, and shooting rifles since I was 5 years old.

The stages are all linear.
There is no memorization.
There’s no hidden targets or angles.

There is zero advantage to being staff; you’re simply more tired and more cooked in the sun after set up.

This time I ran all the staff through, then shot my first run in the afternoon in 100 degrees after working in it all day.

The reality is I’d be even better on the same course not working it.

My second run through was slightly slower even though I had magnification because I was more tired and dehydrated on day 2.

Division (similar equipment) wins are what matter. My most recent division win was posted earlier in this thread. 1/37 stealth, 2/97 over all at the May black rifle match. https://youtu.be/dJt6eFlxACY?si=fxa-xCKdTJ4xTxee

My last division win before that was the Tucson 2 gun in April https://www.instagram.com/p/DXCKEUkjvL-/?igsh=MW5peGVoZXU5bnZjcQ==

I have wins and top 3s going back decades at this point. My results are all public on practiscore. I post them to my Instagram regularly as well.

People tend to be better at the things they care about be that school subjects or shooting. I don’t care about the skills USPSA tests; memorization and foot work, so I tend to be worse at those events. The less memorization, the longer the stages the better I do at them because that is the format I find interesting vs drag racing to shoot 15 paper targets in 7 seconds.

I could name a hundred guntubers I'd sacrifice to the corn without losing sleep but God picks one of the few good ones.

I was only curious because, if I’m reading the PractiScore results correctly, you beat the people in Open class while only using a red dot, and then beat them again with GWOT restrictions? Scorewise, you did twice as well as the person in 31st place in a field of 108 people, or is that not how the scoring works? And you got 1st and 2nd place overall? I live in the same area and know two of the people IRL who placed in the top 25, and they are not very good at shooting. Do you have to provide ID and stuff to run these matches, or could I attend under a meme name and try to beat your score?Sorry in advance if this is dumb, and I appreciate the work you do and the content you upload.

The results are total time. So the lower the time, the better the score. Yes I did get 1st and 2nd over all with not much difference between the runs.

My red dot run I was using a non-free floated C7 upper with ACRO on top of the carry handle and doing reloads from a 1990s Eagle Assault Vest.

This isn’t an optimized competition rifle by any means. I’d be even faster using one of my race guns with a dot mounted to a flat top and my INVRT bandolier. I was using this set up for the vibes while not required for the division.

IMG_2795.jpeg

My GWOT Run was with an M4 Block 2 Build with Leupold CQT and a WTF Chest Rig.

Stage 1 was 50 yards with a spinner target, 66 shots required.

Stage 2 was 50 yards with about 200 yards of running, 48 shots required.

Stage 3 was as man hits as you could get at 100-200 yards changing positions every 3 hits for 180 seconds.

Stage 4 was 32 hits required on targets at 200-400 yards from the tower.

What I tend to accel at vs others is rapidly getting stable enough to make hits and reading my misses down range to adjust holds on a shorter reaction loop. Every shot fired gives me data on where to hold to hit various targets. I am also particularly good at targets that move, like spinners.

You may register with an Alias on practiscore but we have a hidden legal name field, and you must sign liability waivers for us and the range with your legal name.

Technically I put it into my SKS, but I get your point. Still, I have a decent horde at this point, and I'm not running a youtube channel thar nets me 5 figures a month.
And that's fine to do if you want. You're also not crying about it in a youtube video.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9EEJLBhg8poI regret to inform my fellow AK autists but apparently we are toxic and dead.

Not a lot to sum up here. AKs and the associated ammo used to be cheap and now they're not, that's most of his complaints. AKs used to be a blue collar man's gun like construction workers and infantrymen ( like Trench, in case you didn't know he was an infantryman) and now they cost money and the community has standards and shit.

He cries a lot about Zastavas having "proprietary" furniture, but what appears to have happened is he bought a M92 (that he refers to as a M70 the entire video) without understanding the concept of a Yugo pattern AK in comparison to standard pattern.

He also mentions reaching out to Meridian about buying a rifle for testing and says he still intends to at some point, but considering he could just buy one and there's no reason to reach out to them I think he just wants some free shit.
Holy fuck, how many times does he need to mention "the good ol' days" of buying a wasr10 and a spam can of ammo and going to the range in the first 5 minutes of his video of his video? It's either that or some variant 5 or 6 times.

And still crying about brass 7.62 prices?

Why the fuck does he care about "the AK community"? Maybe the people bitching about manufacturers and imports are correct? But what the fuck does that have to do with "the AK community"? His idea "AK community" is a bunch of faggots in addidas track suits? Bitching about people being "emotionally charged" while he's throwing a 2nd fucking tantrum in a month. Cries that he got told his PSA AK was shit, it turned out to be shit because of the accessories, and his inability to use a fucking fastener.

Talks about how people used to show up with iron sights and maybe an optic rail. Meanwhile he's got a pistol caliber AK with a red dot, flashlight, dust cover mounted rail attached to the forend, a collapsible and folding stock. Says he's going to buy ANOTHER PSA AK and whines that there's no good option, but doesn't want to buy a better option... because he doesn't want to spend the money.

I can't keep watching this child cry about this shit. Whining about the cost of AKs and ammo going up, as if everything didn't go up. "back in the day I could get a wasr10 for $300" ok, back in the day I could get AR lowers for $20 in bulk.

Fuck, Mike's one of the few "guntubers" I still watch and was one of the first I found. I've really been digging the "The Guns of ____" videos he's been doing lately. Here's his most recent community post from a few days ago.
Because there was no new video up yesterday, I’m getting queries about where I am, and if I’m OK.

The answer is that I am as OK as I can be.

Last Thursday, I was admitted into the hospital. It was unplanned, but my chest filled with fluid, and I couldn’t breathe. They drained over a quart of fluid from my chest, which helped a lot.

For those of you who don’t know, that last month I was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. It has spread to my liver and thorax.

It is terminal, so the treatments I’m taking are to extend my life, hopefully with some quality.

While I was in the hospital, they installed a permanent chemo port into my chest. It goes into my jugular, and down to my heart. They did it under a local, so that was an experience.

I also had my first 48-hour round of chemo. I tolerated it well, but post-treatment I am exhausted…no energy. Also, no appetite, which is not helping my energy level. So, I’m making an effort to eat something this morning.

I spent a full week in the hospital. I came home last evening.

I’m back in next week to have a more or less permanent pleurex catheter installed in my chest, so I can drain the fluid at home.

And Chemo every two weeks.

As far as videos go. I will make more if I can, but it is looking like a long shot.

I appreciate, every one who have followed my articles and video. It has been a great experience for me.

Take care of yourselves.

back in the day I could get a wasr10 for $300
Back in the day I DID buy a Saiga 7.62 for $400, unconverted, of course.

That was almost 20 years ago. Trench was literally not old enough to buy this shit "back in the day", lmao.

Unfortunately I'm old enough to regret not buying more, but that's just how it goes with weapons made by our sometimes enemies that are banned from import because "reasons".

That's what I'm saying. Thing is brass 7.62x39mm has gone down. It isn't 5 bucks a box, but people are acting like they're paying 40 a box. Come the fuck on. I recommend getting a 5.56 if you're getting started, but if you already have the guns and ammo for 7.62x39, it is not that bad to replenish your stash at this point.

People need to drop their weird mystical view of steel case ammo, it's not inherently cheaper than brass. The USSR just did the math and found that with the resources they had they could manufacturer steel case cheaper per round than brass. It was only cheap in the US cause the USSR made 10s of millions of rounds and they mostly sat in warehouses until the USSR collapsed. Steel case was always going to run out eventually, and people were going to have to buy brass eventually.

Trench mentioned in one video he is 31 turning 32 this year. I meant to mention this in a previous post cause he looks way older than that.

It’s not just that. Steel cases require completed different tooling and machines to make. Russia had a significant steel manufacturing industry post WWII compared to brass and decided it was better (cheaper) for them to invest in the tooling for steel cases for the new round. There was significant R&D done to make them run and it’s why no US manufacturer has ever gotten steel cases to run right (see Winchester USA forged reviews). When the wall came down Russia had all this specialized manufacturing capacity paid for and sitting around. Of course they were going to sell it to the US consumer market. It’s the single largest buying segment of ammunition in the world.
