One of these posts is of someone who laughed at him, where he found an IG post of the guy and his wife having a date night and reposted a screen cap with a smug comment about how old they look. Other posts are screen shots mocking tattoos or clothing. This is interesting because his two big complaints about the first FT video was first that Focus didn't tag him and was "talking behind his back" PA doesn't tag anyone in these posts and second that mocking a man's appearance is "woman shit" all of these posts are mocking appearance. Surface reason: Because banning a market segment means some other platform would then have something YT doesn't have. Better to just prod it into being advertiser friendly and still get their cash.
Sub surface reason: Nudging the overton window by controlling speech. Cut them off and they will find another platform. We have already seen this before. TV really limited how it displayed guns and gun law. The 90s were a real low. Forums and video online really saved 2A by spreading the culture. If they ban it might trigger another strong migration and without the rules it will get wilder.
Honestly a YT ban doesn't scare me as much as this boiling frog method. The trouble is if you are the only channel banned...no mass exodus.
