Denver Fenton Allen, a mentally ill Georgia man, and the inspiration behind a segment from beloved cartoon property Rick and Morty, was sentenced to life in prison after voicing concerns to a judge over his court-appointed lawyer making unwanted sexual advances toward him. The judge denied his request for a new lawyer, making statements that contained homophobic overtones before holding Mister Allen in contempt. This has been TMS News. I'm not gonna lie, this shit was absolutely fucking hilarious, and one of the things, for me, that can't be marred by the fandom.
I'd never watched Rick and Morty before seeing that. Imagine my surprise when it lead down that rabbit hole.

That video should live on in internet fame long after that show and it's creators are tilled under by twitter accusations of misconduct.

Funnily that video skips over a few parts for seemingly no reason.
This one is more complete and from the same event.
Ah, I didn't know this one existed. I know the one I posted was shorter because apparently the guy recording it didn't have enough space on his phone and scrambled to make more.

Nice find!

This is fucking legendary. I can't believe this exchange actually happened in real life, in a real courtroom. I know judges should never let things escalate that far and should never fight with defendants, but if he didn't, this amazing piece of history wouldn't exist.
