So the concept of ghosts or survival after death (Echos, Surviving Personalities, etc) is one often split down the middle they either do exist or they don't.
In this thread the discussion would be simple do you believe in ghosts? If so why? Can we ever prove their existence. if not I don't you believe in ghosts why not? Can we disprove their existence?
Like the subtitle said do you also believe in survival after death like the concept "a ghost in a machine" or psychic phenomena like poltergeists.

Sorry if the OP is shit this my first time writing a OP on this site.

Some paranormal probably actually exists, but I think it's not in the shape of "people dressed in blankets". It's more of an energy thing; people's memories, thoughts and feelings get concentrated into this energy that haunts the places that are considered haunted. Taking the shape of humans is not only impractical, it doesn't make much sense.
Also I chose "OP is a faggot" lol

So you would say you would with the Echo and Poltergeist theories then?

The possibility of life after death is a purely philosophical question. We'll likely never know, at least until we die. However, the existence of ghosts, that is, spirits of the dead who are capable of physically affecting the real world, is silly and impossible. According to paranormal '''''researchers''''', ghosts are constantly doing things to get messages across to the living, and are capable of affecting the real world, but not once has a ghost picked up a pencil and started writing.

All the 'evidence' of ghosts is inconclusive and circumstantial. There have been paranormal researchers, psychics, and mediums for over 150 years. When generations of research fail to find hard evidence of something, it's probably because that thing doesn't exist.

True, but keep in mind we can't disprove the notion of ghosts or the notion of survival after death for the same reason we can't prove it.

I had a paranormal experience once.

I went over to Chris's house with a flashlight that Night. I'm trekking through the daylilly garden aisles, searching for more bad I can do about the house. When suddenly, I hears a voice, "Hello". I look around and see nobody. I am Terrified. Then suddenly, I am fucking paralyzed; my ankles and wrists are pulled to my left and right, feeling like there were other people's hands holding them down on a floor, and I feel a pair of hands on my Neck too; strangling me, yet I can still breathe. Then the voice comes back, "Hello, Mr. Troll." It is the voice of a child, about 8 years old. I struggle to look around, yet I see nobody. I'm fuckin' shittin' my pants here. The voice continues, "Do not be afraid of me, like the teachers of the Elementary School were; they did not understand me and my mind. I want you to understand my mind..." Right after, I see a lot of strange images going through my mind. Including the images of an abusive babysitter called "Roache" locking me alone in a static room; a therapy session at James Madison University; the teachers, guidance counsoler and principal of Nathanel Greene Elementary School holding me down and taping my screams and more. I tried to scream, but Nothing came out; it was a Scream of Silence; I could not even utter a WORD in Normal Voice; Only Silence.

Next thing I knows, I am knocked back onto the cement block trail of the garden aisle, by the weight of a big dog, yet there was no dog. Wrists, Ankles and Neck still being hand-held, the child ghost leaves my mind, and then I hear a deep womanly voice, Growling at me as I smelled the stench of a dog's breath surrounding my nostrils. The voice says, "Do not mess with my master, my family or me, you infidel!" Next, I feel the sting of the dog biting into both of my ankles, one after the other. At that moment, I struggle back, leaving behind the lit flashlight I dropped earlier when my arms were being stretched out. And I limp as fast as I can back to my house, closing and locking the door behind me, gasping for breath and dripping with sweat. I limp to the bathroom with the shower and look in the mirror; what a gross mess I looked like. And I see a Big, Red Rash on the right side of my neck, and rashes on both of my wrists, from the hands that held them in place. And my pant legs were ripped, and he saw on both of my ankles rashes, and Teeth Marks of a Dog. I tried to scream again, but it was another silent scream. And I was unable to speak at all for Four Hours.

I have encountered the Spirits of Young Christopher Weston Chandler and Patti, protecting the Chandler Household. I warn you all right here and now, Stay Away from his house, and Patti's Grave. It is NOT worth it to have to suffer the Nightmare that can render you as damned silent as the Autistic child. And Patti is definitely not friendly to our dark kind.

I tell you only the truth, my friends.

I'm interested in ghosts more from the importance they attach to certain places. I like the folklore of allegedly haunted places, but I'm less interested in whether or not ghosts are real. But I love "ghost tours" in historic places, love ghost stories, and would love to participate in a "Ghost hunt" for the hell of it.

There's mounting evidence to suggest "ghosts" are real, or rather that people claiming to have encountered one weren't just having some sort of nervous break/lying through their teeth. I'm too lazy to go journal digging over spooky blankets, so have some summary news articles instead.
I wonder if there's a special psychosis experienced by the people who do this shit habitually, brought on by the sum of experiencing all possible causal factors. If they bounce from monoxide to mold to monoxide again, wondering why things are so spooky nowadays.

There is quite a bit of articles and even police cases involving hauntings that I'll admit I've always remain that despite my own belief and ghost to be incredibly skeptical about these one of the biggest examples as the Enfield Poltergeist well everybody agrees that the whole event was faked there are some who believe it actually happen another example of this is probably the cases of the Warrens who are probably more well-known after The Conjuring movies but the thing is if you actually read most of their Articles and investigations every fucking time it just leads to demons for them every time and because of this I personally think the Warrens are a bunch of hacks, because there go to excuse is "lol demons"

I have seen a "ghost", yet I am still very skeptical.

I would say my story has a bit of validation since my mother was a witness. She refuses to talk about it anymore. It happened in New Orleans, and it involves voodoo. I'll type it up if anyone is interested.

That being said, I wouldn't put ghosts outside the realm of possibility.

I myself am curious about your encounter.
