As you all know, retarded people like libertarians believe the world and the ever fragile food supply can be perpetually sustained by improvements in yield and harvesting time via GMO's. This is in direct contradiction to how the natural world works, which we should leave alone or face consequences. Food can only be managed by decent management. When we have created the perfect GMO, that gives us as much food as is physically possible, and when we have destroyed as much land as possible just for this, the population will still require more, and civilization will crumble. Hundreds of millions will die and we will be sent back to the bronze age. People will be eating each other on the streets for food. Nature is for nature to deal with, not humans. The end times are coming and Jesus will return to earth.

Monsanto once "donated" GMO seeds with higher yields to a poor starving country once, and when the country disagreed everyone said "oh shit look at that backward anti GMO sentiment starving millions of people!" and then it was revealed that the seeds were modified so they would grow once and die, and that the agreement meant they could only buy those seeds. My point isn't the GMO's will kill us now, it's that they will be used solely for yield, and when the maximum space usable for crops has been established, there will be no more space for more food even though there is need for more hence causing a massive famine.

Farmers generally like to avoid reusing seeds, its a pain in the ass to collect on a a large scale and your stock will slowly degrade over the years if not rigorously screened for good genetics. it's much better to just get a batch of seeds that are guaranteed to work.
