Now, the original version of that website was free for anyone and Steve Keen was beginning to be unable to manage it due to its size and growth. That is when Gonzalo Lira aka CoachRedScam proposed a "subscription-based website" where subscribers would pay $40 dollars a month and Gonzalo would manage the website for Steve. Based off a website that CoachRedScam made previously, that website does not exist anymore but it was called LiraSPG.com. CoachRedScam stated "He would Maintain the entirety of the website as long as it got 300 new subs a month" that was his only stipulation.

Now, here is where the scam begins!
Professor Keen was notified from his Payment Statement from the website itself, Debunkingeconomics.com and the amount of payments were only half from the expected amount of the number of users. Keen notified CoachRedScam Multiple times during this event of the issue, while Coach Stated that he was incorrectly calculating expected revenue (Yes, yes a google pro failed economist telling a real economist his figures were wrong
). Over several Months of trying to fix the deficit, Professor Keen decided to shut down the site. CoachRedScam REFUSED to acknowledge the emails to shut down the site. After 6 months of requesting Coach to shut down the site, Professor Keen recommended all of his followers to change the Credit Card information to protect themselves from our lil scam artist here.
even to this day, Professor Keen has nothing good to say about CoachRedScam

On April 15th, 2022, CRP posted his final message in Telegram promoting another content creator on YouTube. He was living in Kharkiv, Ukraine. At the time - and as of writing - this city was under shelling attacks from Russia. Coach had, a few weeks prior, been kicked out of his hotel in Kyiv where he was staying during the initial invasion of Ukraine. He had made comments online and was featured in Russia Today in a way sympathetic to Russia. He returned to his home in Kharkiv by train and was told that Ukrainian soldiers were searching for him. Supposedly, he evacuated his Ukrainian wife and children and stayed behind in Kharkiv.
I had briefly known Coach while I lived in Odesa, Ukraine in 2018. We discussed Ukraine's problems together at least once. His expectations with this war was a very quick total victory. The land east of Dniepr (which includes Kharkiv) and along the Black Sea would be partitioned to Russia in his vision. The rest would be a rump state of Ukraine. I believe he expected to stay behind in Kharkiv, end up in new Russian territory, and then be hailed by the Putin regime.
By the 17th, he was reported missing. On April 20th, a former UN spokesperson and pro-Russia intel channels have declared him dead.
As of April 22nd, 2022, Coach briefly appeared on a show and confirmed he is still alive. He did not say much else.
On January 12th, 2024, Tucker Carlson made a post on X that according to Coach's father, Coach had passed away in a Ukrainian prison.
On the same day, Alex Rubinstein also made a post claiming Coach had passed away and released what is allegedly a letter that Coach had written to his father he had received over a week before Coach's supposed death. In this letter Coach writes about having multiple iliness and having to go through a procedure for edema.
The next day a Norwegian news site reported that US authorities confirmed that he died.
