(A thousand apologies if this thread already exists and I'm too retarded to find it)

I keep a playlist of long videos to listen to while I'm working, deleting old ones and adding new ones, but now I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel and YouTube is recommending me garbage like "40-minute queer analysis of a toddler show" and "disorganized 2 hour podcast about nothing, episode 75." I figure a human, especially a fellow Kiwi human, can recommend better shit than the algorithm.

Anyone got any good long-form video content to listen to? I usually go for /x/ type stuff myself; conspiracy theories, missing people, creepypastas, ARG analysis, stories about murderers, typical shit like that. Here's a sample of stuff I've listened to before just to get the ball rolling:

Most of mine are unfortunately or fortunately, depending on who you are, video game related.

If you're into games (and guns) Ahoy has some pretty good videos about both.

In a similar vein, Ross Scott's Game Dungeon reviews mostly older and more obscure games.

If you're a boomer shooter kind of guy, Civvie11 might be more your flavor.

It's a bit Zoomer-esque and Anglo but there's also Totally Pointless TV who does essays on games as well.

EmpLemon's documentary on all subjects are very entertaining.
My fav are:

Then there is LEMMINO.
My fav:

The Electric Underground does very good analysis of videogames (that he cares about):

Maverick Files, [T6] and jar19 for 4chan stories and related content.

turkey tom
Although turkey tom doesn't fit the aesthetic you describe; If you want some youtube/e-celeb drama, I would recommend Glitch Poachers and BigBunjeeeeee.

Edit:
I forgot our resident Cecil mcFly for more eceleb/lolcow long form videos.

KrimsonRogue for book reviews:

If you like true crime there's JimCantSwim and Matt Orchard, whose own content was inspired by JimCantSwim's videos but now has his own original brand.

If you like video games, PatricianTV has an 8 hour analysis of TES3 Morrowind, a 12 hour analysis of TES4 Oblivion and a 20 hour analysis of TES5 Skyrim, etc. including an unending quantity of video game related streams.

PrivateSessions also has longform video game videos and streams and these two sometimes collab.

Another videogame content suggestion, Tehsnakerer, I like his humor and I can't disrespect the man who accidentally gave birth to an inside joke and then kept it going for seven years straight.
An excellent video about football ( not handegg ) hooligan simulator and their culture, if it hooks you up and you enjoy his style and delivery I wholly recommend watching his Yakuza series essays/retrospectives

Second Civvie11 for shooter info
Warlockracy is the funniest and most original for mods/old/forgotten about /Slavix rpgs. Start with the video on the game 'Planet Alcatraz' to see him at top form.
Boulder Punch is great for survival horror games.
Grim Beard covers weirder stylistically unique games.

For more grounded subjects, the best analysis of military capabilities and logistics is Perun.
Atrocity Guide is great about public weirdos and cults.

All of the above can be found on youtube.

If you're into old obscure guns C&Rsenal are the go to Youtube channnel for long form content. They release at least an hour of self researched gun documentaries with shooting segments every two weeks. That Youtube channel has done more for historical revolver research than all the museums in the world have for the last 50 years. Othias basically stumbled into being the worlds foremost revolver expert by just trying to dig up info on the pieces he wanted to make videos on.

Their most recent video was on the French 1892 Ordnance Revolver:

But they also tackle more well known guns like the Winchester 1897 sometimes:

Oh and if you're into video games Running Shine does really stellar video game reviews.

I especially like his Yiik review:

I've never been an MMA viewer, but there's some Irish dude Napolean Blownapart who does funny and very legit fighting documentaries. I promise you'll like it, a lot of the people he covers are straight up clowns and psychos. It'll probably help increase your testosterone levels too.

In the other window right now I've got this guy up. Here's a video of his you might like.
He's also got another video on the history of yandere simulator clones, which even contains a bit of bonus Kiwi Farms lore. I never knew people on this site used to do stuff this cringeworthy until I saw this video (KF section timestamped).

You've probably seen Joon The King since he's kind of site adjacent, but I figure I'll put him here anyways. He almost exclusively does long-form content on e-celebrities and lolcows like WingsOfRedemption.

If you're ok with creepypasta type stuff, the channel Horrorbabble has stuff like 22 hour long readings of the entire Cthulu mythos. They do readings of a lot of older horror stories like that.

I'm not sure exactly what you can tolerate and I've deliberately avoided videogame channels (because YT is overflowing with them), but with the way YT works as soon as you demonstrate any kind of interest in other spheres like tech, military history, other cultures, theme park history, cuisine, pretty much anything, it'll start recommending new stuff, you just have to be a little daring and click on/look up things which aren't exactly what you normally watch.

Plus true crime seems like an easy option, but I find if I consume it too much I sometimes get weird morbid dreams. Do not recommend.

my dad says there's a shitload of old radio serials, like the Supermans and stuff
not really a "listen" because they're not narrated, the words are on the screen, but the Martin Tribute theme park videos are really cool if you're into Disney Parks, they go really deep into the history of the attraction's development, all the internal mechanisms, tons of cool crap including a full video of the ride harvested from ancient camcorders and stuff
as an example

I've seen these guys/some of these videos! Turkey Tom's video on Chris-Chan was great for filling in what I didn't know and didn't want to read the slow way here on the farms (and jesus christ now I understand the horrifying emoji and wish I didn't!!)

:D I'm so excited to check these out, I added a bunch of stuff that was recommended in the thread and other videos from the same channels.

Yeah, I can handle some true crime videos, but every now and then a case is just too intense and I can't deal. Or y'know it's some kind of "omg so like thank you to raid shadow legends, I'm gonna do my makeup while I tell you about how this toddler was totally raped and then like, killed or whatever." That shit is straight-up AIDS for your soul.

Mr. Ballen can be good sometimes though I can imagine his stuff isn't for everyone.

I'm in the exact same boat as you, watch/listen to a lot of /x/'y stuff especially wendigoon & lorelodge.
My girlfriend watches that Explore With Us channel sometimes but god I can't stand the cheesy American TV-esque narrator.

Brick Immortar does great architectural and seafaring disaster content. C&Arsenal if you're into old guns. Also, it's worth mentioning that Dan Carlin has uploads of his Hardcore History content up too
