So why isn’t “Kiwi Farms porn” working?Same. But if I Google a lolcow's name + Kiwi Farms I get their thread just fine.
using googlewhen I google it.
Basic google search, with all of it's increasing list of negatives, is still superior in delivering relevant searches than many of it's competitors. I don't doubt that will change as they continue to kneecap themselves, but still. If you're looking up any controversial topics though it should be fair to say don't bother with Google.using google
ngmi.
Kind of. Google does not index the main index page of the Kiwi Farms located at https://kiwifarms.net/Just googled for basedmama. 4th result was her thread here - are we indexed again?
I wonder if it has something to do with the ruling on section 230 not considering algorithmically sorted content protected.Googling "Kiwifarms" comes up with the forum again. Top result too. I haven't seen this happen since the forum take down attempts back in Aug/Sep of 2022:

I checked a few weeks ago and it didn't do this, just came up with the usual Wikipedia article and a few articles about "the evil anti-trans website".
As @BlueSpark mentioned above, the only way I could find the site from Google was by typing in "Kiwifarms" and the subject I wanted to talk about (usually "Boogie").
that is new, you're right. wikipedia was #1 since like 2019.Googling "Kiwifarms" comes up with the forum again. Top result too. I haven't seen this happen since the forum take down attempts back in Aug/Sep of 2022:
The de-indexing of Kiwi Farms was not an algorithm, someone at Google deliberately did it.I wonder if it has something to do with the ruling on section 230 not considering algorithmically sorted content protected.
I get that, but they could try and blame the algo anyways. Actually removing manually it without a legal reason might be seen as a worse move if arbitrary moderation of content is going to keep getting targeted.The de-indexing of Kiwi Farms was not an algorithm, someone at Google deliberately did it.
