Event Graduations, terminations, and reincarnations - For when it has never been more over.

'Graduating' is a term that transfers over from Japanese idol culture, and refers to when a performer leaves a company on good terms. Generally it is announced in advance to maximize the amount of profit, etc a company can make off of a talent's departure, and the actual event involves a highly promoted stream that serves as a goodbye to the fans. Alternately, if they're an indie who doesn't work for a company, they just do a final goodbye stream.

Terminations are simpler: the vtuber has been shitcanned for violating their contract. As opposed to a nice stream and all, the most you'll usually get is a brief tweet from the company stating they've been terminated. This is one thing that indies are immune to, except insofar as they have to try not to get banned from whatever streaming service they use.

Reincarnations are when a graduated vtuber pops back up with a new model and a different character/gimmick at either a new company, or . Generally, it's considered rude to refer to their previous identity, although some vtubers might not care.

Anyways, this thread is to post about vtubers that are having any of these happening to them.

Selen's graduation is a banger. The Japs were so retarded in their shina hatred they nuked their EN branch and lost merchandising collabs. They had a legit reason to fire her; she wanted people to pirate the Selen Music Video. but then niji fucked it all up by saying she was in the hospital, and then it came out she was bullied into suicide twice, and the NIJI EN girls were being hilarious cunts while the drama was playing out. I rarely hear about NIJI tubers aside from Rosemi.
Selen ultimately became DokiDoki and inspired a lot of corpos to go indie.

She was probably eyeing the door but she announced at the beginning of February 2023 that she was coming off of hiatus and Hogwarts Legacy was going to be her big comeback series at which point, a thousand shrieking, seething troons plunged into the jungles of twitter with their spears drawn. Pikamee went radio silent for the rest of February and announced her graduation at the beginning of March.

It was at this point that all hell broke loose.

People pretty much covered it but a concise summary.
She was always going to leave the agency. She was good friends with someone from VShojo and wanted to do something different with her model.
Which is unfortunate cause her original model was perfect match to her persona.

The troons made her not want to deal with that shit so she hid from the internet for a month. Which basically cost her fans an extra month of her.
The bigger and more damaging reason to hate the trans was Silvervale. Who was - interestingly enough in VShojo the company PIkamee left to...

Short of it is VShojo is a den of backstabbing whores. Pikamee became Henya, but the model doesn't hit the same -it really proves an artist with restrictions is better - and the vshojo people she collabs with make it harder to watch.

I don't even get why Rosemi hasn't graduated yet and gone indie or to another corpo. I don't even remember her collabing with anyone else in Niggersanji in forever.
