As far as I remember in hearing some autism within Gravity Falls, I remember there was a post Shokew made in DA horrors. Apparently the image was deleted from his post due to being NSFW. Said image, based on his words, was some fan-art of someones OC having sex with the old guy from the cartoon. One other bit was the fact that some people apparently ship the two main characters despite the fact that they are related.

and the fandom also spergs about secret encrypted messages in the show and supposed "illuminati" symbols.

There are actual encrypted messages. Usually in the end title cards using simple substitution ciphers (A=1 B=2 etc.) or a vigenere key hidden in the actual episode. It's pretty neat.

Just not like, y'know, nowhere near as deep as the fanbase makes it out to be.

The /co/ threads for it tend to get extremely cringeworthy in record speed:

There's also some shitposter that keeps posting about Dipper's feet in the threads but they get deleted pretty quickly now.

I know /co/ does a ban on Gravity Falls general threads when the show is in hiatus because the threads get so fucking awful.

Although they're not as huge in comparison to the SU fandom, there's still quite a large SJW influence in the fandom, particularly on Tumblr. For example, people are known to attack artists who draw Mabel and Dipper celebrating Christmas because it's slightly implied that they're Jewish (Their last name is Pines, which is apparently a Jewish last name and they're based on the creator and his twin sister who are either Jewish or half Jewish, I forget). Other than that, there's really not much evidence point to either conclusion, but that's doesn't stop them. Even though the creator himself says he doesn't give a shit about it and thinks people should draw what they want.

There are also people out there who get pissy if you draw humanize Bill Cipher (the main villain) as white. But considering that a lot artists like to draw him as a sexy young guy who seduces Dipper (a 12 year old boy btw), the former seems rather trivial.

I also remember the SJW tumblr part of the fandom freaking the fuck out because Paul Robertson did the spritework for a few episodes of Gravity Falls. Paul Robertson does a lot of eroguro sprites too and apparently people thought some of them were lolicon or something? Something retarded like that.

They also called Alex Hirsch racist for making a tweet saying something to the sorts of "Can we find whoever invented the word 'bae' and kill them?"
