For some reason, no one's posted a thread about this yet.

And of course Rockstar puts an excruciating amount of effort and detail into it. Now we just wait for Rift support.
 
Oh man. This baby is gonna be a completely different game in first-person, running at a sweet 60 fps (on PC anyway). I was dubious about double-dipping after playing the PS3 version a year ago, but I'm sold.

Yeah Rockstar goes all out when they re-release something

Yeah Rockstar has a really good track record with re-releases.

GTA3/Vice City on the xbox were both enhanced versions of the PS2 port. The xbox version of GTA3 had higher poly models and reflections, while both games boasted a better control scheme. Bully is another good example with the Scholarship edition. The entire game was ported to the Gamebryo engine (the original ran on Renderware like GTA3/VC/SA) and had additional content.

Not to mention the mobile ports of GTA3/VC featured the original xbox assets and San Andreas's had higher resolution textures and reflections. When Rockstar does a re-release, they do it well. And I'm glad to see Rockstar is going above and beyond with GTA5.
 
WELL... I certainly know how I'm going to play it when I finally get my hands on the PC version.
 
Looks fantastic, as does the PS3 vs. PS4 comparison trailer.
Can't wait to drive a Stallion on the streets of LS, they're bringing that vehicle back. It's also neat that the DLC vehicles released so far spawn on the street.
I suppose my PC is decent enough for this, just gotta get an SSD...
