  • The Kiwi Farms was targeted with a historic DDoS attack last week. Confirmed reports of 2.8Tbps on an individual provider, topping 4.8Tbps when known volumes are added together, and possibly up to 8Tbps if the attacker is believed. This is the third of fourth largest recorded.

Given the suddenly price increase from the Steam Deck, Im not particularly excited to learn of the monster price this thing is going to have...

I hadn't really planned on buying it or the controller for the foreseeable future, only when prices died down (never). the only one I had my eyes on was the frame, and I remember hearing a rumor that Alyx wasn't even going to be natively supported, and if thats true I have no intention of buying that one either. For me at least, Steam Machine is kind of a means to an end.

I was saving myself for marriage from buying the Steam Deck when 2 is on the horizon and the Steam Machine looked attractive due to the fact that some personal changes in my life will lead me to travel somewhat frequently. I was already bracing myself for a high price but after Valve already increased the prices of the regular Steam Deck, it only proves to me that damage still hasnt been done (or at least the effects are still not finished...affecting) and the prices are actually going to be higher than I fucking thought.

Whats the use for bread and circus when the bread is stale and the circus is too expensive?

The only things we’re getting at GameFest this year is more live service Concordlikes, Nintendo sequels and pretentious movie games. Have some narcan to go with your hopium, because it’s over.
I'm still betting on announcement near/with steam machine. SGF, like the VGA, is a no go and just used for drumming up hype to get people like me from a couple months ago to waste an entire night on ragebait.

I'm still going to watch it so I can laugh at "content" we get shown, oh and maybe something about the Doom TDA DLC.
