What a week huh? With the tragedies happening around the world it’s hard to notice every single one. Even if you see most of the big ones it’s even harder to care strongly about any of them in a genuine fashion. It can feel overwhelming trying to take it all in. It’s angering when people come out to gravedance on someone who tried to be the bridge in the gap. I can’t tell if it would be worse to give in to the anger and give them the fight they so clearly want, or to try and deescalate. Time will be the judge of that, and I pray deescalation is still a viable option. Conflict is never pretty in the middle of it, and conflict here would be a pyrrhic victory I fear.
Tomorrow is Sunday. If you haven’t been to church in a while, make an effort to go this week. Remember, church is a place you go as you are. No one is expected to be good enough to go, everyone there is in need of a savior, that’s why they’re there.
To echo Null, take the time over this next week to look up your local, state, and national representatives. See when the next town hall meeting is, and make an effort to be there too. The best time to get involved was 5 years ago. The second best time is now. Same goes for getting fit, getting proficient with the weapons you own, and getting prepared. I’m talking to myself here too so know that I’ll be trying to do this too.
