Has site engagement improved since the removal of reaction notifications?

Null said the reason to remove reaction notifications was to improve the quality of the site and to drive engagement rather than drive-by karmafarming posts. Has the experiment worked, or has it inconvenienced a group of people?

Disclaimer: I don't give a fuck about reactions or is someone neg posts me. I'm a big boy and can handle criticism without crying like a faggot. I do like the reaction notifications as a way to navigate the site easily and to re-view old threads that someone has read.

@Null doesn't do anything that isn't meant to appease pay pigs. It's like the taking of reaction stickers on the political boards. Once the dust had settled, most people liked it better, and the board was overall improved but he still reinstated them. The only reason he'd done it in the first place was because pay pigs wanted to le epic troll A&H and the only reason he got rid of it was because the same pay pigs bitched about that side of the site changing in a way they didn't like.

This new policy is the same thing. He got rid of sticker notifications, but kept them for @secret watcher because that's what pay pigs wanted. The faggot will freak the fuck out about some shitposting gimmick account like what Naught has had, but will actually break his own rules for gay shit like @secret watcher because pay pigs.

That said, why even give a shit? @Null is a fat faggot that screams "free speech" at the top of his lungs just like what hot wheels did, and just like hot wheels he'll shoah this place and everyone will have to move somewhere else to be able to post what they want. If you haven't figured out that internet lobritarians are grifters by this point, you are an eternal newfag.

T&H fans are neither true, nor honest, and most often are worse than newfags.

I'm not like the other guys tho'
I do be speshul.

I'm not a power-user but it seems like the number of useless comments has gone down considerably. The number of interesting comments hasn't gone up though. It seems like the site has slowed down as a result. The collapse of r/thedonald way back when sent engagement-farming conservative circlejerkers to every corner of the internet, and I think banning reaction scores is a necessary step in keeping the site from metastasizing into a political circlejerk with lolcow content bolted onto it. Lolcows are always going to be more niche than political circlejerking, so even if the site actually has slowed down, I don't think that's a bad thing. But Josh has the actual metrics, if the site starts dying he can always bring reaction scores back or try some new schemes to get engagement without promoting circlejerking.

I beg your pardon?
I am seeing a very large number of high intellect comments, such as:
"GROOMER"
"lol nigger"
"kike!"
"X is fat and I would not have sex with it"
"-ACK!"
"pedophile"
And the list could continue for a decade.
The discourse is at its best!

Speaking for myself my posting habits haven't really changed. It's just now slightly more annoying to go back to recent threads I was on having to navigate to a separate page instead of having it in a drop down menu on the current page.

Yeah but was that because of the notifications or the retard purge that occurred around the same time? BBl alone had like 10 retarded accounts or something like that all actively posting retarded shit.

I only paid for T&H because of extension of the sticker range along with a few overall improvements. I can't say supporters subforum was in any way an improvement though.
I ended up paying for it just because I had some spare crypto for a change and wanted to support the place I spend most of my online time, but the DRINK! and Semper Fi stickers were fun to use and a worthwhile perk before Null gutted sticker functionality. I still try to use them sometimes but it was nice being able to drop a martini glass on a fun post and know the other person would actually notice my toast to their shit post. No fun is allowed in the autism gulag though.

You paid for reactions that are now useless. Are there refunds available or a discount on the price?

You still have your stickers you big baby, you just don't have a feed to facilitate obsessing over all the updoots other kiwis gave you to stroke your e-peen.

Don't be dumb. I, like most people, use reaction notifications as a lazy way to see which threads are catching traffic. Sometimes it's fun to re-read an old thread that someone has had a browse through and chucked a few reactions about. It's a bonus that it's an easy way to update old threads with new information.

I honestly couldn't give a fuck if I get 1, 10 or 100 negative ratings, even if 50 MATI reactions is funny.
