Have older topics been disappearing?

I was trying to find a topic I made in Deep Thoughts a few years back, it was called something like "were the SJWs ever right about anything?" or something to that effect. I could not find it, so I just used the profile option to look at every topic I had ever made.

And the furthest back it went were still relatively recent topics, like "I KNOW I was very active for awhile before I made this topic."

Are the old topics gone or is the search just screwed up?

I think I actually tried that and it didn't turn up. The "Search Bar" is that thing at the top of each forum, right?

Yes, it's the magnifying glass. If you can remember specific keywords or sentences put quotations around them so you get exact results
