I know a shit ton of people (including myself) love Game of Thrones so much that it got it's own thread but no one talks about the other HBO shows that are, in my opinion, amazing.

Silicon Valley is absolutely amazing, Mike Judge makes another stellar comedy. People I know in the nerd culture call it "what The Big Bang Theroy could've been" in terms of how they portray nerds. It's probably my favorite HBO show at the moment.

Ballers is incredable. Dwayne Johnson is mad hot for being like 100 now. The show focuses on a specific group of people (NFL players) and the troubles people probably don't realize they have. Rob Coudry's character is the best.

The Brink is pretty good too, the two pilots are the best characters.

Girls was ok the first season, I kinda stopped caring after that.

True Dectective is really well done, I didn't know Vince Vaughn could be a respectable actor in a drama.

I was a child when Oz came out so I'm trying to watch it now, I'm like 2 episodes in.

Oh, and The Sopranos.

So I guess talk about all your non-Thrones HBO shows. What you liked, what you hated, and what you want to watch but haven't yet.

Band of Brothers was a classic. Too bad it had a subpar sequel

Girls is crap and I never got into Game of Thrones because of the gore. Ballers is good.

Should definitely check out True Detective. Hear many good things about it.

The Wire is amazing. It starts out kinda slow and I didn't like Season 2, but it's among my most favourite shows, definitely.

I tune into Real Time with Bill Maher every Friday night before work as for Oz..bro it's disturbing as fuck at times but one of the best shows that HBO has ever produced.
