Soyny (and Valve's) legal would probably blow a gasket if he did it without their say-so. It would be funny though, yes.Cmon Gabe no questions asked refunds. You know you want to.
Not only is it the right thing to do it will be funny.
3. I am currently in a country or territory that is not PSN-enabled. Can I still sign in and link an account?
PSN requires users to register in their country or territory of residence. Individuals who are traveling, working, or studying abroad may create an account different from the one in which they are currently located. Otherwise you can get fucked!
This lawsuit makes a lot more sense now. Don't forget that Arrowhead is a EU studio. Scamming people who live in EU member states is a really bad idea.View attachment 5959932
Redditor is claiming to be in talks with a law firm for a class action lawsuit against Sony.
I'm currently in the talks with a law firm to potentially file a class action lawsuit against Sony.
Mainly on the basis that they sold and are continuing to sell helldivers 2 to customers in regions that do not support PSN. But also potentially for misleading consumers here in the US.
I will have updates next Monday/Tuesday after preliminary meetings with the lawyers.
DM me if you're interested for more details. Please also document Sony's changes in their wording regarding PSN account requirements.
And no I am not joking, there is a valid case against Sony here.
Edit: Yes I understand the lawsuit could be on shakier grounds here in the US, that's why I'm having a consultation with the firm next week.
However Sony's deceptive practices are much more clear cut in countries with stricter consumer laws and no PSN support.
We are helldivers. Even if I fail my mission, somebody in another country can and should pick up the baton.
An easier thing for him to do would be to suspend sales of the game on Steam until Sony clarifies its legal requirements.Cmon Gabe no questions asked refunds. You know you want to.

A lawsuit in the USA will be harder and will depend very much on how Sony worded the original contract that all players signed without reading. Even so, there is the principle of unenforceable provisions, where a contract cannot be enforced by the court because to do so would be contrary to law. In this case this would be the nightmare world of consumer protection and trade practice law. This lawsuit makes a lot more sense now.
I hope this faggot gets anal prolapse from taking Sony's cock up his ass.The overall positive reviews have now dropped to 65%. Spitz is now on the side of players all of a sudden.

You are all a bunch of retarded crybabies.

I posted this earlier but totally broke the post by trying to add a steam support link
IF YOU ARE REFUNDING, USE THIS AS YOUR REFUND MESSAGE: "The developers have announced that they will restrict my access to the game unless I sign up for and use a third-party service and account. This requirement was obfuscated at release and waived for three months, before it was announced as a REQUIREMENT to continue to play the game at all."
Use the reasoning "The multiplayer doesn't work" because, well, it won't, unless you make a PSN account (and give Sony those juicy active player numbers that they want so badly).
This request message was built off of some recommendations from folks on the Helldivers discord, as well as PirateSoftware's own refund request (source at 27:19), as he has WAY more industry knowledge than I do. As I understand it, the specific mention of THIRD PARTY SIGNUP is a HUGE red flag for Steam, they take it really seriously, especially since the requirement was obfuscated and waived for months so that we all missed our refund windows.
Even in worst case scenarios where we dont get money back, it'll still send a message to Valve and Arrowhead that Sony's bs is not okay.
And to think, we thought the bugs and bots were bad enough...
Does the expression "running for the hills" mean anything to you guys?Cross-posting from the sony hate-thread as it's currently covering this game's issues.

What's the matter Spitz, I thought the gamers were all just being lazy little complainers who aren't willing to take 2 minutes out of their day to register an email address? Why do you feel the need to now write an entire essay about how concerned the dev team is and how its not their fault?Cross-posting from the sony hate-thread as it's currently covering this game's issues.
TL;DR they're using the negative reviews as ammo to mount up and ride on Sony for this.

I mean it sucks that a company made a great game fumbled this fucking hard but sticking their head on a pike as a warning for others seems fully justified given the amount of shit other gaming companies have pulledOn that note, those of you who are requesting refunds and being refused, make sure you save all your correspondence. If a class action does take off, these will be essential to your ability to enter the suit. Also under no circumstances should you sign the PSN user agreement. This would essentially mean you legally accept the changes.
