I wonder if they adjusted the super credits drops. Been finding way more medals and req slips than sc in recent games (difficulty 5-7).
It's possible, but bear in mind that difficulties 4-9 feature rare samples and as a result far fewer shipping containers. Those L shaped houses with the crater in the back yard will always have a rare sample mine instead of a shipping container, the farms with the two domes and three rows of hip-height greenhouses will have either a rare sample mine or a flooded pond, and even the double button bunkers can have their goodies replaced by rare samples.

You really do need to play on the easier difficulties if you're trying to get more Super Credits, particularly trivial difficulty for the reduced map size, but any difficulty 1-3 would work since there's no rare samples changing the points of interest or replacing the loot in the shipping containers/bunkers/drop pods. I can fully clear and extract from a trivial map within 15 minutes, often under even 10 minutes. On average, I get 30 or 40 Super Credits, but I try to get my buddy to farm with me so we can do double button bunkers. Just the other day, we got 70 Super Credits for 10 minutes work.

Completely doable, if a little tedious. But at this point, I have about 60-70% of the Super Store purchased, all current (not Polar Patriots) warbonds unlocked and I still have about 300 Super Credits in pocket.

Side note, on the topic of the Super Store: Most of the Super Store equipment is repetitive garbage, but there is an armor there called Light Gunner. It has 100 defense and pretty high stamina regeneration, literally the highest defense rating of all light armors (it has the "Extra Padding" passive ability). If you see Light Gunner, it is absolutely worth any surplus Super Credits. It looks like a late WW1 or SS trench grenadier uniform. Stahlhelm, dark orange visor, light orange canvas under a kevlar vest. When this comes back around, anyone that plays a mobile style should get it.

I did try this this afternoon. First map went fantastic. Even had someone join to do the double doors. 60 super credits in about 10 minutes
Next one had only 1 super credit pickup with most everything was heavy weapons. Decided to try it on a level 2 map and it had no super credits. Seemed like feast or famine for me.

Lol, so it sounds all the Polar Patriots weapons already came pre-nerfed (but the napalm instant grenade looks amazing).
I played a solo 5 with the not-liberator or whatever it's called this morning before work. It's a piece of shit that's worse than the base liberator. I doubt the rest are better and I'm not exactly inspired to get the medals to complete it.

We're at the point where their balance philosophy is having catastrophic effects downstream and new equipment can't cover for them any longer. It's not just one bad warbond, it's that every warbond is loaded with garbage that either takes a handful of passes to be useful or is lobotomized because God forbid players have fun in a co op game. I can think of solutions for the gear portion but whatever beardlet is in charge of balance needs to be taken out back and shot kindly told to leave. I missed the launch window but every patch has lessened the fun. The list of viable loadouts for high difficulties gets shorter every patch and so does my patience. Being smug and snarky about changes isn't winning any goodwill back. I'd guess this is another Vermintide situation where like how Farshark was too garbage at their game to play on the highest difficulty, Arrowhead testers are also too shit to play on helldive. You can tell the balance changes are aimed at helldive but also don't seem to understand why the things that were good were being picked. Arrowhead is doing an excellent job of killing their game without the Sony bad excuse.

Good to know. The Super Store keeps rotating but actually only has like 16 sets of armor (8 rotations of 2 sets currently), so it's annoying to wait 2 weeks for something to come back. Polar Patriots will always be available, so I'll continue my quest to buy out the Super Store first, since it doesn't sound like there's anything in the warbond to change the meta.

Edit: they added more armors to the Super Store, I have never seen today's rotation before (Grenadier and White Wolf) and none of my resources list them in the rotations. They're also both expensive. Damn it.

Honestly, they just need to make bad stratagems more usable. I've been testing out the Ballistic Shield with the Knight (deluxe edition exclusive) and the Defender, the only two SMGs and one-handed primaries in the game, and I've been having fun figuring it out. The Defender is the better of the two options, so the 40-dollar plebs aren't missing out on using the Knight with it. The shield's pointless against the mostly-melee bugs, but a nice counter to Heavy Devastators (by becoming one yourself) and platoons of clankers. We need more one-handed primaries (LAS-12 Tanto from the first game) or solid secondary weapons to try with it.

Hell, we have support weapons that are so powerful they need to take your backpack slot, what if we had a backpack that was so broken it took a support weapon slot? What if there was a warbond that had stratagem unlocks? There's a lot of design space they're not exploring (yet).

The Morita knockoff is completely bugged because the ammo pickup is broken, so I assume the damage being the same as the Liberator is also unintended. I might be crazy, but I also think it shoots faster than the liberator, even though the numbers say it doesn't. Very nice audio on it though.
The concussive SMG is actually godlike because it can stunlock just about any lightly armored enemy in the game, including stalkers.
Have not tried the fat plasma, don't like plasma weapons in general. Have not tried the pistol either.

I can't wait for pride month. I hope they do release a fag cape, I will purposely team kill them repeatedly till they leave the game.
I'll just keep doing the voice macro for "sorry" after each one.

So it sounds like only already nerfed warlords are safe. So what is the best value so far? Cutting Egde / Steel Veteran?
Depends on what you want.

Steeled Veterans has the Liberator Concussive, Incendiary Breaker, Incendiary Grenades, Senator, and Dominator. Aside from the Concussive Liberator which is at best a sidegrade and usually considered a "I want to absolutely roll difficulty 3" pick at worst, it's held up the best since the Incendiary Grenades, Incendiary Breaker, Dominator, and Senator are all awesome. They sure as shit didn't start that way, but have become so due to successful legacy buffs, so enjoy it.

Cutting Edge gives you the Sickle, Dagger, Stun Grenade, Plasma Punisher, and Blitzer, as well as the three experimental armors that cut arc damage to 5%, allowing you to fuck around with the Tesla Tower without finding out and minimize the odds of friendly-fire kills with arc weapons. The Sickle is one of the most reliable primaries in the game, the Plasma Punisher is an excellent alternative to the Scorcher that allows tricker nonsense and rewards experience, and the Blitzer is a shotgun you don't even need to aim and is amazing at staggering, though its damage is mediocre. The Dagger is better now since it got a 25% damage buff last patch, so you can finally have an infinite-ammo backup weapon that doesn't completely suck ass. Stun grenades absolutely fucking ruin bugs since they immobilize even the strongest ones and can grind a Bile Titan or Charger to a halt. I've seen entire teams load up arc throwers and play ghostbusters wearing Next-Gen armor, so there's definitely a niche to be filled.

Detonation is good. Not great, but good. This one gives you the Adjudicator, Eruptor, Crossbow, Grenade Pistol, and Thermite Grenade. The Adjudicator is a fine weapon offset by a small mag. Everyone has way too strong an opinion on the Eruptor, and I won't comment on it further save for the fact that it's completely passable and I never understood the cult-like adherence too it. The crossbow is basically a solid-shell Scorcher with better damage per-shot at the cost of refire rate, and is very effective at killing mooks. The Grenade Pistol is a good weapon for sealing holes or killing fabricators from a distance, being much more expedient than a grenade, and the Thermite Grenade rocks now that the DOT bug is fixed and is a solid anti-armor option now.

I'm nowhere near done checking Polar out yet but the Tenderizer is very clearly a weapon that was designed before the 1.000.300 patch and someone forgot to fix.
It will be patched soon, I guarantee it. It is, however, usable with minimal finegling, so if you get used to it you'll be sitting on a real powerhouse when it inevitably gets fixed (this is a reliable tactic in HD2 and many players will camp unpopular non-meta weapons knowing full well that they'll be sitting on a table-flipper if they get updated).

Right now I'd say Cutting Edge is the best deal because of how good the weapons and grenade in it are. The only questionable choice in Cutting Edge is the Dagger, and even that's decent now that it got a much-needed damage boost

Most of the superstore armors haven't been interesting enough to merit spending my super credits on but I did buy the fortified lightweight one you posted above and the fortified heavy EOD suit. I'm personally not invested in the drip game though so I haven't been paying very close attention.

Honestly, they just need to make bad stratagems more usable.
There are a million wonky ideas they could just throw at the wall just to see what sticks. I've got a few:
  • Make it so fire can ignite the gas strike, causing an explosion that destroys weak structures (not fabs)
  • Add a module for turrets that calls down two
  • Lower the cooldown on the gatling barrage to 30 seconds. Tbh, the cooldown for low impact stratagems could be lowered across the board.
  • Make it so support weapons with backpacks have a separate, lower cooldown for just the backpack
  • Fix the issues with defensive stratagems on inclined terrain
  • Add a separate backpack for machine guns that gives a mega large belt and reserves
All of the changes have been shepherding players into using orbitals instead of support weapons for heavy lifting purposes but then they do shit like stick garbage modifiers (orbitals miss, less stratagem slots, increased cooldown, increased call in time) on maps and wonder why people cling to the same shit even more. By attempting to erase the meta, they've enforced it in an even stricter manner than before.

I really do like it. It's definitely notable protection for light armor and it feels like you can run for miles when you've got the stamina booster. Combat Technician from Page 8 of Helldivers Mobilize is my other favorite drip. That one is the heaviest armor (medium) that has the scout ability, reduced detection rate.

Both are great for a quick playstyle, both have 100 defense, one's just quicker and more stamina friendly and the other's better for stealth.

Somewhat of a change in aesthetic with the new super store armour. Very 2012 MLG XxOpticxX quickscope montage-esque. Man got 500 intervention headshots.
He looks like one of those generic cups from 1993.

Looks like Grummz tried to say that Spitz got thrown under the bus and got venom spat at him. Well, considering that the guy just got booted from his position and it's because of all this drama bullshit, I can see why he'd respond this way.

Oh, he's a reddit admin. Good riddance, then.
There are a lot of hilarities here to point out.

1: Grummz has made clear in a follow-up tweet (Both archive.today & GA are broken on Twitter, Nitter is the only way to archive, & it barely works too) that he wasn't supporting Spitz, but just pointing it out & feeling sorry for him.
IMG_20240509_225654.jpg

2: Spitz doesn't realize 3 things here:
> He used to he seen as a martyr by some before this. Now that status is lost for many people who once felt bad for him & finally realise he & all other community managers deserve the same fate, if not worse.

> He sucks at diplomatically driven positions as seen from his disability to say a simple, even if insincere "thank you for your kind words" to Grummz, so he was always shit at his job.

> He's been backstabbed & scapegoated by the likes of Baskinator & others, Not to include, he essentially lost what could be considered a gravy job at a time where the economy is about to implode because of shitty far-left politics. Bit when someone empathizes with him & even defend him in a way, his reply to all this "Ackchyually, the people who betrayed me are awesome ackshually" which makes him look like a limp-wristed faggot.

> He confirms nepotism being rampant from this sentence of his:
GNCkoDUW4AAU4u9.png
With the equal vitriol for CMs, this makes Katie look like a Trojan Horse now.

3: Spitz's existence. We have a Canuck, who happens to be a Reddit mod (who writes himself off as an "Admin" who are actually hired & paid off by Reddit), & a now Discord mod. Being one is bad enough but he used to be both a Discord & Reddit mod at once, imagine that, on top of being Canadian. That's a wretched existence.

Every single weapon in the new warbond fucking blows. The grenade seems to be the only highlight.

Also, why is it they decide to have the SMG stun, but the Slugger can't? With an SMG you can shoot while moving pretty easily compared to other primaries - you can outwalk and shoot most of the chaff without the stun, why add it? It makes no sense.
