Still being an officer is good because he gets to keep authority. Tard wrangling his shitty devs is what he should've done all along. I guess he wanted to do this all along but felt his position as CEO was restrictive since he couldn't make direct calls to the developers. I don't know their actual structure (a Google says 100, so not that big but by no means small) so maybe he could only ask the lead director to "fix X and Y" and hope it went well.Huh, this might actually turn out to be a good thing:

CEO is going full time into tard wrangling the devs/balance team to keep the game fun.
I think his heart is in the right place all the shit shows aside and making a move like this to step down from being CEO to take a position directly involved in the creation side of the studio does reflect well on his "I just wanna make good games" statement.
