I might be autistic and looserish enough to buy Helldivers 2.

Please tell me how many farmer are actively playing the game.
its fun, but if you prefer to play solo wait until they patch the bugged patrol spawns
I play a few rounds nightly still. I'm not putting my Steam name on here though. Sorry.

Somehow I don't think he is serious guys. I think he just might be stopping in to remind us that we are autistic losers.

New mech is fun to use but the damage is kinda ass. Takes about 12 rounds to blow off charger's head, autocannon turret do that in 6 iirc
>the guy in charge of "balance" in helldivers is the same guy who killed hello neighbor
Apparently there is a hidden stat that all weapons have called "durability damage" which people found by datamining the game- essentially it's just a stat that dictates how much damage a weapon does to armored units.

The autocannon has both 260 normal damage and 260 durability damage, so armored units will get hit with the full force of it. However, the mech only has 60 durability damage per gun which is why it feels so weak against chargers and etc. Curiously though if you add the durability damage from each individual gun up it equates to 260 damage which is the same as one normal autocannon.

Now I have no proof of this, but to me, the flawed logic that splitting up the durability damage of one autocannon between 4 seperate guns will "balance out" the mech sounds like the kinda thing only a retard like Alexus who never actually plays the fucking game and just stares at spreadsheets all day could come up with.

If Pilestedt is serious about fixing up the balancing of this game he needs to fire this moron because his influence is weighing the game down.

shouldn't a MECH be tearing up chargers left right and centre?

I know it's been discussed to death but """balance""" in this game is retarded. 99% of people playing bugs use the Fire Breaker. That's not balance. That Alexus faggot needs to be fired.

To be fair, it's pretty satisfying to burst into a crowd, set them on fire, and then watch them fall over dead a second or two later.

Definitely, especially when we already have a chaff clearer option via the patriot and the MECH is armed with FOUR AUTOCANNONS but Alexus doesn't want us to have nice things. It's weird too because I feel like it would have already been well balanced even if it had the default autocannon stats.

High firepower that comes at the cost of mobility, major blindspots, and a limited ammo supply? That's fair. This is also negating it's high cooldown and an inability to use stratagems while piloting one. It's honestly perfect but Alexus has this complusive desire to overbalance weapons to the point of redundancy, it's so frustrating.

Like when the ricochet physics changes unintentionally balanced out the eruptors high power and utility by making it more riskier to use, instead of just leaving it be and letting the "bug" be a feature he opted to instead strip the gun of all it's identity in the name of "balance".

Yeah I saw those posts about durable damage on /vg/ and it do make sense. Its funny that the model of the autocannon on turret are identical to the mech one but have different stats while some devs keep shouting "muh realism"

Haha, I really wasn't. Sorry for inadvertently being an asshole! :-)

I was just feeling the pull of the game, whilst also being reminded that I'm probably too old to play videogames.

I'll still play the Elden Ring DLC though, since I'm a Souls-fanboy, but that alone will make me sink great amounts of hours sitting behind the computer monitor getting pale and gaining weight.
This is not becoming of a gentleman, of which I obviously am.
Still, I'll probably bite the bullet and buy Helldivers 2 some day. I simply cannot escape my inner autism and child, after all.

Some one bought up this graphic as a theory to how Arrowhead is balancing everything:

Honestly I would rather have how community thinks the mech are suppose to be balanced then add a third one in. Of course I would forgive a ton if Arrowhead allowed people to ride (and shoot from a prone position) on a mech and/or let the Guard Dog latch on to keep firing.

How old is too old? I have played Forza with literal retirees in the top 5% of the game easy (it's not a twitch-reflex game but you have to be smooth/consistent). I play Helldivers with 30/40 somethings and we do lvl 9s and then some. It's not a real fast game... it can feel overwhelming when you are swarmed but the action itself is quite slow, often you can track targets faster than you can turn the more cumbersome guns and the game wants you to stop, pause and then fire for many weapons and generally rewards patience/positioning. It doesn't even have a jump button and it's PvE, there is no tracking bunny hoppers sliding around the map like it's Quake or getting headshot by the same sniper half a dozen times in a row like it's CS.

Let's just say I'm in my thirties! ;- )

Still, if retirees are living it up with the youngsters online, then I suppose I too must delve deep into the world of videogaming.

Are you guys having a Kiwifarms-clan of sorts? Like "JoshuasSneedingBoys&Gals" or some such?

Why yes person that just joined less then a month ago I would like to give you Steam/PS4 user name that can easily be used to track me across almost all games.

I'm tempted to just give him the clan discord... but then I can't say things like "No STALKER Child! I'm going to find your hole and end your criminal harassment! Enjoy PRECISION (strike) STALKER!" Without outing myself.

I will squeal about your sordid Internet-presence. I will let everyone know of your shitposting about niggers and trannies, do you hear me?
I will contact your employer, and let them know of your dark activities on the World Wide Web. I will contact your family, and make them disavow you. Do you understand, you putrid farmer you?!

And then, we will hug, kiss and play some videogames together.

The new mission is fucking bullshit. How you are expected to defend a point whilst multiple bug breaches are happening literally right on top of AND friendly fire is active for you being able to destroy the point also? Fuck this fucking mission. All the shriekers appearing before extraction is pretty kino though.
