The commando is neat. I'm not sure if you can already do this with EAT (i never personally tried) but I was able to simply slam a rocket into a fabricator to destroy it similar to how a Spear doesn't need to hit a vent. Not sure but it seems like it has a mild guidance system with the laser, I noticed that it curved a bit as it fired and there's an option to turn the laser off. 1:30 cooldown I believe so slightly longer than an EAT and you get 4 per deployment with no loading. I can see it overshadowing the Recoilless because while the rocket felt slightly slower than the Recoilless there hasn't ever been a time I felt like I seriously needed speed on my AT.

I haven't jumped back in yet but all I'm hearing is my tank buster build just got a huge upgrade. Main spear and also run expendable anti-tank AND Commandos for extra disposable AT rounds, then finally orbital precision strike because fast cooldown. Let no tank, titan or charger go unpunished.

It's currently an emergency/temporary requisition for fighting on X-45 since they were unearthed from the facility there. I assume they'll be fully deployed once the order closes tomorrow.

They have indeed! Though a commando on top of EATS and spear has proven excessive for most objectives, never really get to call them all down, an eagle strike would be better.

Except defence based missions like the 15 minute civilian extraction. Just litter that shit all over the objective, anti-tank capability for everyone!

Edit: I've just realised the EATS may now have been rendered obsolete outside of this niche scenario. I only just got over my boy the recoiless rifle, how much more heartbreak can I take?

I haven't heard talk of a new Warbond for tomorrow. They taking a month off?
They are slowing down the release of Warbonds in order to focus on making them more fun/better then the mass produce stuff that was pretty mediocre at times. Sort of what they are doing with patches in general.
 
They're also on summer break or are going to be. If those leaks are true it's gonna be a fire warbond which would be neat, the issue is that only strategems benefit from that ship module that boosts their damage.

I think the missing 80k or so players are waiting for a few things. Reversions of Alexus' bullshit, a cool warbond (Vipers is neat but half of it is cosmetic), Illuminate/Cyberstan. Still tens of thousands on prime time/weekends is pretty good for a live service game, the articles bemoaning WHOAAAA 90% OF THE PLAYERBASE IS GONE SINCE LAUNCH are being clickbait niggers. Call it cope but I didn't expect this game to have 500,000+ daily players, that was all hype and then it died down. A good chunk is also then the countries restricted by Sony.

I didn't rebuy after getting a refund because on the steam page I still see PSN account needed, and a bunch of countries are still blacklisted.

I don't think it's ever gonna go away permanently either. IIRC the statement was something along the lines of "we're going to figure out how to best implement this". They're gonna try again and that will officially kill the game. It's not like AH could just rip the game from Sony and go independently given the IP was made under them prior. I think the only way the non-PSN countries are getting reinstated is if Sony fully concedes and lets people play the fucking game without their bullshit.

1. Introduce shitty or unfair feature that only benefits shareholders and whales. (Search "Squeel of Fortune" if you give a shit)

2. Backlash. Dial back the catastrophic change, but not fully renounce it. "Quality of play", "Ecosystem", "YOUR feedback"

3. They will "improve" it and it will come back, slower this time, with a new lick of paint.

The pushback will be less severe each time until it is accepted or the player base voices an absolute Fuck You.

It's all about "the experience", brother.

Despite Alexus' statements to the contrary, the CEO-now-CCO Pilestedt tard wrangled his devs and the last major patch was only buffs including fixing the patrols. They've also generally reduced the spawns for heavies even more just a wee bit so that it's more hordes and you can make the most of your big area strategems.

Sadly Alex wasn't fired.
 
IDK if it’s been resolved but Saturday / Sunday the game was buggy as hell. First time I’ve ever had an issue like this, and we all experienced it for multiple matches. Objectives floating in the sky, hovering bile titans, clipping through everything, swarms of robots focus firing on a single point, just running up to it in droves, being redeployed after Pelican 1 takes off…

Like wow.

I didn't encounter any of this, I think the only thing I ever had happen was one of those nuclear nursery drills spawning in the ground but this was a few weeks ago. Had to stand in a very specific spot to be able to aim at and access the terminal.

Also weren't we supposed to get an optimization patch "this week" last week or is it this week?

New content slated to be coming out August 6th, mostly mentioned new monsters and a new difficulty level.
Confirmed:

  • Rocket Striders with armored cockpit
  • WHOLE NEW DIFFICULTY! "Game too EZ" posters, rejoice! Difficulty 10 on its way!
  • Impalers! Terminid charger-like unit that spawns giant tentacles that stab you.
  • Spore Chargers! Chargers that act as mobile spore towers.
  • Pillory! Automaton MLRS unit, for more rocket spam in tank form.
  • Heavy Brood Commanders! New take on Brood Commander, spawning more diverse units.
  • Super-heavy outposts! Larger than Heavy, but with more rewards.
  • New planet types/modifiers! Spookier swamp planets. Acid storm effect now reduces armor for everyone.
  • New objectives: Retrieve Larva (backpack retrieval, take to extract - it cries for help, attracting Terminids).
  • Automatons "building bigger units", Terminids "changing migration patterns", "irregular spore readings".
  • More suprises in store!

  • New type of jump trooper for automatons?
  • Super-heavy bases will have super samples in them.
  • Difficulty 10 is called "Super Helldive".
  • Heavy Brood Commander is called "Alpha Commander".
  • IMPORTANT: "...we have implemented a system where if a player is kicked, they will spawn into a new session as the host with all of the team’s loot from their previous session." - so you can still get the samples if you get kicked!

This is going to encourage shitters to join in progress high difficulty games and intentionally farm getting kicked, just to have their faggot friends join on them. You already have goblins who join late just for the evac and dipshits to hoard samples just to suicide far away or die in holes rendering their shit unrecoverable. There should be something accompanying this feature that spawns a pack with all of the kicked player's samples at the feet of the host.
 
The faggots ruined the flamethrower, doesn't kill chargers when shooting the leg anymore. Why the fuck do they ruin the fun shit?
