What strategems would people recommend to someone trying to diversify their playstyle? I’m probably a bit too comfortable with Eagle 500kg, airstrike, orbital laser, and whatever support weapon.
Bring the Car and comfortably make it to extraction when you have 30 seconds left after doing some side objectives because some asshole started it early. Your teammates will appreciate the ride and for some reason Arrowhead wanted a skill ceiling for driving it.

These are the ones that have worked for me, so I hope this is of some use to you:

Orbitals:
120mm and 380mm barrages are great for solo'ing large outposts if you're feeling daring.
Smoke Strike is great for cover when you have objectives that rely heavily on terminals as it reduces greatly the perception and accuracy of the bots.
Orbital Burst is good for crowd control too but doesn't work very well on large enemies.
Walking barrage is great when you have heavy enemies lined up and wand to break into enemy territory
Railcannon only kills the heaviest enemy of the area and it deploys fast, perfect for hulks or the walking fabricators.

Eagle:
Napalm is perfect for bugs and voteless when you have to do support on missions like rising the flag or holding for a terminal to do it's job.
Cluster is for crowd control for small enemies and to some extend light armored ones.
Eagle smoke is the same like the orbital.
Strafing Gun always attack from behind you towards the direction you're facing, good for when you got small enemies lined up.
120mm rockets target the largest enemy of a group and causes a small area of damage to anyone surrounding it.

Tesla towers are effective for holding hordes of smaller enemies when you have to retreat or hold a position, just deploy them at a safe distance. Rocket sentries attack anything on the vicinity but gives priority to larger targets first. Mortar is great for support at clearing an outpost, just be sure that you're doing it alone or prepare to rake on friendly kills.

Just go nuts. Bringing nothing but turrets is an entirely viable loadout as long as you aren't retarded about where you place them. You can make pretty much any setup work.

The bot front have grown on me, the moments when chaos exceeds the grind appear much more often.

The first weeks after the launch, when no on knew how to fight them where golden

Illuminate are piss easy right now. The charger feels more threatening than a harvester, overseer cant shoot for shit and became a problem only when you being aped by a pack of voteless. I hope there is full roster ahead + buff for those who we have right now.

Don't forget that release bots and modern bots are two very different beasts. Although admittedly I do miss when everything was fresh and the game wasn't as technical to me as it is now. Though I've always liked how flexible Helldiver's 2 is as both a game for casuals to have some fun chaos over and tryhards like me to navigate expertly and overcome impossible odds with confidence in. There aren't many games that can fit that spot as well as it does.

You have my condolences, Helldiver bros.

Anybody ever Characterize their Divers? I put the White Truth Enforcers cape with the vanilla B0-1 Tactical and pretend my divers are all like 17-18 years old, recruited from Politically Reliable families.
my ship is called "Triumph of The Regime". The idea is that each Diver is a triumph of the regimes methods.
I think I'd be pretty good at writing Helldivers lore. The trick is balance. If you get too campy, people won't take you seriously but this isn't 40K either. There should be a cold calculation behind every decision, Like the Helldivers themselves.
Sometimes I ponder the lore while doing something mind numbing or tedious.

Each Helldiver is a new recruit. You don't really play the Helldiver so much as you play the ship itself. The Helldiver you control is no more "you" than a guided killstreak is in Modern Warfare. Your average Helldiver survives about three minutes before a new recruit is taken out of cold storage, has a gun thrust into his hand, is shoved into a Hellpod, and gets dropped into combat.

They're not cold and calculating. They're kids who just completed a two-minute training course and will be dead before it's time for their next meal.

Do Kiwidivers have any recommendations for Illuminate? I find their fliers too tanky and the walkers just a pain to fight. Love gunning down Zombies and the walking bastards.
The Commando is your friend. If you hit a harvester in their leg joints with a single shot (shield down obviously) they crumple, you get 4 shots, laser guided to aim right into their joints. Either ping them and have a team-mate get the shield down, or bring it down with sustained Assault Rifle Fire then swap to Commando. Same goes for their little ships(though I use the grenade pistol for those, or huck a grenade in there.
Gatling Sentries are ridiculous for Illuminate, you can shut down whole streets with them right now, you can slaughter crowds of Voteless, it will take down their Jet pack dudes, and their other armored units fast, same with their little flying snitch bots. Anything that deals explosive damage goes right through the armor of the jet pack dudes and will kill them in two hits.

Also if you are new the Anti Material Rifle is great if you are confident in your aiming skills. You can bring down Harvesters and the Flying bois easily, with a couple shots to the joints or heads, or center mass. You can also use the Laser canon on Harvester leg Joints, and it melts the flying guys pretty quickly.

They certainly are also roided up to the point of absurdity, on top of having good physique and the political indoctrination certainly makes them quite unafraid of doing the most brutal things possible to the enemy.

The movie needs to balance the humor with genuine masculinity and kickass attitude. I don't know if they can do it. But we need something like this in-between the dark comedy.

Personally I'm a fan of the head cannon idea they clone them

Unfortunately it is simply impossible for the modern movie industry (let alone Sony) to depict Super Earth properly. Super Earth is an ultra conservative authoritarian surveillance state where a couple has to submit a form before being allowed to sleep together but it has to be a sex positive pro faggotry LGBT utopia where 50% of the population is gay and there is no racism or bigotry. It is an ultra capitalist society where people who don't work are considered undemocratic and executed for the good of the regime but it is a post-ablism utopia where everyone has some form of Schrodinger's disability and is celebrated for it. Super Earth makes its citizens as interchangeable and dehumanized as possible so it can manage them like identical chess pieces on a game board but diversity is its strength. The only reason there are female Helldivers and SEAF is because anyone and everyone, no matter who can sign up to be a Helldiver, otherwise there is no implication that men and women are even assigned or allowed to do jobs outside of their natural roles of physical labor and domestic caretaking respectively. Super Earth is supposed to be dystopian, but depicting them accurately isn't just villanous to the movie industry, it is entirely unthinkable.

Both creative writing and storytelling are dead in Hollywood. subtlety and nuance is the enemy of the tranny writer and while super earth lacks a lot of it, it's still required to make it work. When the movie comes out and they have someone say "Are we the baddies?" unless another helldiver shoots them on the spot, it's not a helldivers movie.

Despite it not making much sense in the lore, I want a grizzled veteran voice for my character. I don't want him to be cold or whatever, I still want him to be spouting the same propaganda lines about preserving the Super Earth way of life. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually keep some veterans as some kind of propaganda tool for boosting morale and such.

why is this a bad thing? The intro cinematic for helldivers 2 showcases a nigger getting mauled by a bug in the first 10 seconds.

they clearly do since they added helldivers 1 armor into the game. But none of the DLC armor sets. Just some stratagems like the car and commando rocket launcher.

Just found it kind of silly how that armor has the same ability as the one at the end of the helldivers mobilize warbond.
