Anyone got a list of "game turning into movie" projects that just quietly got canned? I feel like it's shit you hear constantly but rarely do you go "Oh shit a Life is Strange movie" etc
Just a Wikipedia article listing a bunch. I'm always amazed retards in the gaming or movie industry think any of these adaptations would ever work based on the terrible ratings 99% of these movies end up with:
List of films based on video games

Both creative writing and storytelling are dead in Hollywood. subtlety and nuance is the enemy of the tranny writer and while super earth lacks a lot of it, it's still required to make it work. When the movie comes out and they have someone say "Are we the baddies?" unless another helldiver shoots them on the spot, it's not a helldivers movie.

Honestly I could see it work if they wanted to establish a rebellion faction for a team death match mode or something but I think they already said that's not practical

Despite it not making much sense in the lore, I want a grizzled veteran voice for my character. I don't want him to be cold or whatever, I still want him to be spouting the same propaganda lines about preserving the Super Earth way of life. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually keep some veterans as some kind of propaganda tool for boosting morale and such.

Veteran? What's the longest you've ever seen a Helldiver survive? Maybe two missions?

I've had entire operations where I have been the only one who has survived with zero deaths, but then again I am good at evading enemies and let others be the ones who get overrun by a million enemies.

It doesn't need explanation obviously but if you're autistic enough to want headcanon a loud commanding voice can go a long way for the morale of a team and voice changers are just the way to make the gold-clad hero of democracy (who has 3 minutes of combat experience) fighting alongside you seem like a shining and inspirational beacon of leadership on the field.

More importantly, it's just a cool. The viper commando helmets with the berets specifically remind me heavily of the EDF commanders from Red Faction Guerilla, who sounded like this:
And unfortunately as much as I love Yosuke he just doesn't do it for me.

It is pretty funny when they don’t realize the enemies will go away if you can outrun them outside of objectives. No reason to wear anything but light armor.

How are people one shotting the drop ships with the AT Emplacement? You often see this on defense missions.

The movie needs to balance the humor with genuine masculinity and kickass attitude. I don't know if they can do it. But we need something like this in-between the dark comedy.

Personally I'm a fan of the head cannon idea they clone them
They’ve outright said that isn’t the case, but I like to believes it’s some Venture Bros. shit. It fits the tone imo.
