Frags have a niche use in that they get back 3 grenades from a resupply instead of the standard 2. If you bring a supply pack and none of your other weapons can kill spawners efficiently you can use those. The game never directly tells you this and it's the only grenade that has this.

Cluster high explosive grenade, no shrapnel (from what I know), lower damage, and somewhat pitiful AOE even with the clusters. You only hold a max of 3 of them (excluding the engineering armor, which lets you hold a total of 5), and personally I think it needs a buff in that department. I'm not the biggest fan, but at the same time I haven't used them much cuz I can't bare the thought of not using the G-6 'nades.

It's a cluster bomb. The pineapple shards are mini bombs that split off and blow up. It's sort of a solution to people who feel like the grenades are less effective than you'd think for their area of effect I guess, since there's an outer radius where the damage scales down to 0, and then a shockwave beyond that makes it look like they stagger and take damage while not taking any.

According to the wiki the "bomblets" are weaker in terms of explosion but they're unique in that they hit rather hard as ballistic damage. Where the standard frag is like 500 explosive and 100 shrapnel in an absolute area, this is 300 explosive, then the seven shards fly out for 300 ballistic damage and 70 explosive each. I'm guessing (hoping) if you catch the enemies in a tight area like an alley in a city or the caves where the shrapnel has less spots to go it can utterly rip them apart since they'll be hit by multiple shrapnel which then explode.

Is it just me but if you get a Thermite nade on a Rapture Charger and it explodes while the Rapture Charger is underground it will instantly kill the Rapture Charger. Or are Rapture Chargers a bit weaker health wise then a regular one?

They have the same health as a normal charger which is why thermite one-shots them, but the head is AV5 instead of AV4. Less health than the charger behemoths that most people facing them will be used to but the head is slightly more armored.

I think the dragonroach wings not being a fatal weakspot would less annoying to people if they actually reacted to the damage taken. Like they become less aggressive and mobile because they are struggling to stay in the air.

I'm so glad bugs are actually hard again. Every single person complaining about the difficulty is a faggot and needs to git gud. I want more fucked up hive planets full of 3 million bugs trying to rape every helldiver they see. Fuck all these whiny redditor cocksuckers bitching because they can't breeze solo through every D10 mission with the same boring jack of all trades loadouts. Make players specialize, make them work as a team, and make failure an actually possibility. There's TEN(10) difficulties. If you find one too hard then lower it until you improve. Seeing all the complaints about Oshaune did nothing but reaffirm my belief that the majority of the playerbase is fucking horrible at this game.

I would be inclined to agree with you if the new enemies functioned well on a basic level. You can't look at dragonroaches missing by a country mile and killing me instantly juxtapose to them obviously direct hitting me directly and doing actually nothing and just chalk it up to Arrowhead's masterful 11/10 game design creating the new standard in video game difficulty. Or rupture warriors sliding across the ground stiff as a board to connect an attack with you, or several emerging from the same spot as one kind of combined macro bug you have to kill several times over. Unless you think the host being prioritized by rupture bugs is also another strain of Arrowhead's perfect design?

the same boring jack of all trades loadouts
I'm with you that I get enjoyment out of redditors not being happy because I fucking hate how they try to dictate the flow of the game, but you lost me here. The meta loadouts of Democratic Detonation weapons and plasma weapons became more prevalent on the Hive World. Right before the Coyote released, everyone I play with swapped back to using the Crossbow and Scorcher.

What is the best way to get rid of the dragonroach? Been using Spears for the most part but idk how effective that actually is.
When you get lucky with the Spear missile it can take a bile dragon down in one hit. Usually only when they're hovering though. You can also hit them pretty consistently with sub-lethal damage when they're circling, the missile's tracking is good enough that it only misses when the dragon does an incidental evasive maneuver. Quasars are also okay at hitting them while hovering and are much better as an oh shit button if you run into a charger down in the caves. I've been running spear and patriot exosuit to provide anti air cover on the surface and the patriot is good for pushing nests underground. The autocannon exosuit is probably better for AA but I haven't tried that yet.
Gas grenades are the best nades in the game and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Gas grenades are great but I have become reliant on thermite grenades as a solution to heavies.
everyone I play with swapped back to using the Crossbow and Scorcher.
Crossbow, sword and board, quasar and exosuit is what I bring when I want to have fun against the bugs. Nothing quite like holding a tunnel like a true dwarf by holding up your shield and chopping the hordes into bug sushi.

The only thing any of my friends, and I, used from democratic detonation is the thermite. I won't deny that it's a little overtuned with 3 dead chargers in your pocket at any given time. I'd be fine if it stripped head/leg armor and 1 shot to the ass, personally. Chargers should probably be balanced like that anyway. Good luck suggesting it be nerfed though. The general playerbase has a conniption if you even suggest something needs to be nerfed and AH really doesn't nerf things anymore because of it.
That being said, of the 3 others I played with all of us used loadouts that could be considered off-meta to some extent. The game has so many options now, especially if you have most or all of the warbonds. We, mostly, specialized into anti tank, anti chaff, etc. and while it didn't make missions easy it made them easier. The game shines when players work together in this way. I can't speak for randoms, though I wouldn't be surprised if they immediately jumped to whatever shit other redditors said was the best loadout which I'm sure leads to missions going much rougher.

Sorry guys but the Spokesman for Super Earth is actually a huge faggot
